Meal reviews
Traveling were myself and DH (who was at a conference part of the time) and DD's 6 and 9.
Marakesh
I had Lemon chicken and DH had some kind of combo plate with lamb, chicken kabob and a seafood in pastry type thing that looked kind of like an egg roll.
DD's had spaghetti from the kids menu.
Service was excellent and the girls enjoyed the dancing. The food was good. The lemon chicken was not very adventurous. It was chicken in a sauce with lemon and olives served with rice. I wished I had tried something a bit more unusual. For dessert I had apple crepes. The were good -but not quite like I expected. the apples were very crunchy and not really hot. It was not like an American type apple pie filling. There was a small scoop of ice cream on the side. DH had a pastry sheets with vanilla cream and almonds (I can't remember the name) He said it was good also. Overall it was a great meal and we were glad we came.
I had forgotten how long it would take to get all the way to Morocco from the main gates and we were a few minutes late- but it was not a problem.
We checked the girls into the Neverland Club and DH and I went to California Grill. We were VERY early (about an hour) for our PS -but we went ahead and checked in and asked if we could go to the bar and have a drink or something. They said they could give us a table then and we were seated immediately.
For starters I had a seafood stuffed Artichoke and DH had oyster bisque. Both were delicious.
Entrees were for me Tuna steak with eggplant mashed potatoes and for DH the filet with potatoes a gratin
Both were yummy. The waiter said the tuna would be rare- and it was. I wished later that I had said medium rare. I don't like it when it is not even warm except on the edges.
This was my ignorance about cooking temps- not their fault. Besides I wanted to have room for dessert. We shared the chocolate lava cake and it was yummy!
The kids loved the Club and they ate pizza and macaroni with cheese and corn on the cob. I was hoping they would eat some fruit- but they said there wasn't any. I am not sure if this is true -or if they just didn't want to eat it!
Kona Cafe for B-fast. Wow it was great. We had DH had tonga toast and I had the ham and cheese omelet. DD 6 had the kids pancake with sausage and DD 9 had tonga toast also.
We had WAY too much food. We could have all ate off the ham and cheese omelet (it was served with potatoes that were great!) and one order of tonga toast! Even the kids pancake was huge!
Hollywood and Vine
Our server was wonderful. We enjoyed the pot roast, seafood pasta the blue cheese and bacon spread for the rolls. The kids liked their food (meatballs, mac and cheese and I think chicken strips) and we were able to get a beer with dinner which we needed at that point!
The little cheesecakes were great also. This reminded me of the buffets that some hotels have on Sunday afternoons especially on Mothers day and Easter etc...
Not everything was great -but there was a big selection if you didn't like one thing you could move to another.
Princess B-fast at Epcot in Norway.
Yummy. Cinnamon rolls with fruit then the all you can eat "skillet" with biscuits, eggs, potatoes casserole, sausage and bacon. I didn't understand why they put three biscuits on the skillet when there were four people sitting there. Our server was chewing gum- which is a turnoff for me -I am not sure why. The food was good and we got it see all the princesses. DD 6 Loved it!
Cosmic Rays
The Healthy section had smaller lines than the burger side. DD and I split the turkey wrap and veg soup. There was plenty for the two of us.
Other DD really enjoyed the chicken salad with the goldfish crackers and apple sauce. She really enjoyed the Mickey plate where the ears are compartments.
I tried to eat lunch at DTD on Sat and we couldn't move! Huge lines everywhere and you couldn't even get near a restaurant!
We wound up going back to the hotel and eating at captain cooks.
