Hi all! Just got back last night!! What an awesome trip! Stayed at the BC for 11 days on the Gold Plan! Had a ton of PS's. Golfed Lake Buena Vista course, Wakeboarded 2X, Tubed 2X, Parasailed 2X, rented Watermice at Contemporary, Yacht Club and DTD 2X each. Weather was awesome, 33 +- every day and sun, sun, sun.
Here's where we ate: (Way too much food-but enjoyed every minute!) Breaky: Chef Mickey, Goofy's Beach Club 3X, O'Hana, Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare, Donald's in AK and Spoodles.
Lunch: ESPN, Fultons, Coral Reef, Cindy's RT, Wolfgang Puck's, Teppanyaki,50's Prime Time Rainforest Cafe AK.
Dinner:Flying Fish, Brown Derby (Fantasmic Pkg), Yachtsman 2x, Boma, Whispering Canyon, Garden Grill (rehitching), California Grill, Le Cellier, Cape May Cafe (clambake).

Renos at the BC are not done-3rd day there they closed the quiet pool and the entire wing around it-won't be done for quite some time. The AC in the lobby and the gift shop area was not working yet. We were on the first floor, had a patio outside with a garden view and only 5 min walk to Boardwalk and Epcot.

I'll get more detailed later on-all questions welcome.

Welcome back! Sounds like a wonderful trip. I haven't been on the water mice at Disney for years. Hearing all those restaurants makes me hungry! Welcome back!

Sounds like you had a great time! Welcome back!

Anytime, no problem.

Here's how the gold plan worked out for us. It cost us $5560 for the four of us and our receipts totalled almost $8000. We came out ahead by about $3000. It was almost a 40/60 split between food and other activities. IMO if you are just going to use the plan for food, go silver plan, if you are like us and Golf and take advantage of the watersports and boat rentals Gold is definitely the way to go. (Golf was about $600.00 per round - club, shoe, cart rentals and driving range included.) We didn't have time for tours or bike rentals or horseback riding. My DD used some of our points for the Fitness Centre in the beginning and found it was cheaper to pay the $26.50 for a length of stay pass which we did after she'd been a couple of times.

Glad to hear everything worked out great!

So do you think the Silver would work ok for DD and I?

How was the night before departure? Did it work out ok?
Just curious.

The silver plan would be great-you aren't limited as to what you can order (except for alcohol and smoothie drinks)-but it really pays off if you use them for more expensive meals (although even at ESPN - 3 hotdog and fries baskets, one hamburger and fries basket plus four soft drinks for lunch was over $40)-I thought that was rather reasonable considering WDW prices at other places. The silver plan wishes work out to be around $34 each so to make it worth while you need to order that much in food (character breakfast for 4 including taxes and tips was $82.00). I suggest breakfast every day and dinner (rather than lunch) might make it worth while.

The Quality Inn was okay. Since we only spent the night there, we were given a pretty basic room (2 double beds, a TV and Bathroom). The shuttle to the airport was great, left every hour on the hour, we felt very safe leaving our car there for 12 days-no problems. The shuttle on the way back was another story. After we called for pickup we waited over 45 mins (they told us 15) but after that no problems.

Sorry about the Quality. I guess they have basic for overnight guests.

We are heading back down again in August. Can't take DD out of school for another week! And then when this Fairytale Package came out, could not resist! We are going to stay at AKL and now waiting for Cdn at Par to add a few more days!

Even going to use a wish to get her into one of the clubs so that I can enjoy an evening of rides she won't do!

Thanks for the help!

Not a prob! What can you really expect for $79. and car park for 2 weeks. I hope you have a great time. Wish we could go again but alas no one will mind the mint while we are gone :(
