A few thoughts about my trip last week. After all the negative comments I'd read prior to going on my trip, I was concerned, but I had a wonderful experience. I don't usually do trip reports, but thought it might be nice to have some positive posts here.
I arrived Tuesday, October 21, and left on Sunday, October 26, staying at All Stars Music. I was traveling solo, but meeting friends there, so I had time in the parks on my own and with friends. I have to say, I never felt uncomfortable being alone; quite the contrary, I enjoyed being able to do what I wanted, when I wanted.
First off, the bus service was incredible. Only three times, did I share a bus with the other all Star resorts. All but once my wait time was 5 minutes are less. And that one time I had just missed the bus and the wait was 10-15 minutes. The transportation staff was always friendly and helpful, and they made sure the buses were being directed to where they were most needed. If there was a long line, as one bus would fill up and leave, another bus would pull in and start loading. I was impressed with the efficiency of the bus service.
The resort was very clean and had friendly and helpful staff. My room was in very good condition and I got my one request of being on the top floor. I was in the rock and roll section, near the quiet pool.
The parks were quite crowded, more so than I would have liked. There were a lot of international visitors, as I heard a lot of foreign languages and accents. But I was able to do all the rides I wanted to, and while I did fast pass the ones that were most important to me, the standby lines on the rides either had accurate wait times or in most cases went quicker than posted times. However, I don't do the mountains which are the more popular rides , (I'm a ride chicken to be honest!). Most people were well behaved. I saw tired children, and tired adults, but I did not let that interfere with my enjoyment. I found the castmembers in general to be friendly; I never encountered a flat out rude castmember.
I had 4 planned meals. Be Our Guest lunch, and then Via Napoli, Flying Fish and Cinderella's Royal Table all for dinner. Food was excellent at each location, and the servers attentive and welcoming.
Overall, I have to say doing WDW, attitude rules the day. If you go in with a positive attitude, and are just pleasant to others, then you should have a wonderful time.
If you have any questions, please ask.
