Just back! H-O-T and not a drop of rain!

Well, it's Disney in July! Of course it was hot!!!! I suppose I was just expecting some rain. I hauled those darn ponchos from home in my suitcase and never had to unpack them!

We went to the parks with morning EMH in an effort to beat the heat, but by 1pm we were melting and headed back to our resort. After a rest/swim, we headed back to our park after dinner. Even in the evenings the humidity was really high.

We did our best to stay ahead of the crowds by fastpassing wisely and eating lunch as soon as the CS restaurants opened. On Saturday, we practically had the entire 2nd floor of CHH to ourselves!!!

We stayed one night at SSR, 5 nights Poly (Tahiti), and 2 nights Dolphin. We enjoyed our resorts, but probably will not pick Poly again. The Grotto Pool at the Dolphin kicks the Poly Volcano Pool's butt!!!

Sounds like you had a great trip.

Did you find long lines at the bus stops in the afternoon when you went back to your resort? I am not sure if a lot of guest go back to their resorts or if they brave the heat.

We monorailed to MK and Epcot, but on our AK and DS days there were virtually no bus lines when we left around 1pm.

Maybe we were just sissies!!!

Good to know thanks. we leave in a few weeks for our first WDW trip during the summer and I've read many people say take the afternoons off and get out of the heat. Then I wondered if the bus lines were long like in the mornings and at park closing. If they were then maybe camping out in ac at the parks might be better. Thank you for your feed back.
