On Sunday (5/30), we were at MGM at 12 noon, waiting for the boat to go back to the BC. While waiting for the boat, a boy of about 5 or 6 THROWS his empty plastic coke bottle into the water. I just look around, waiting for some type of reaction from the parents. NOTHING. After about two minutes, he then throws the cap into the water. NOTHING. A few minutes later, he is nowhere in sight. OH, there he is! Down at the EDGE of the dock. A family member runs down to get him. When we are on the boat, he exits at the S/D(running). His mom runs after him -wrong stop. While he is muching away on a HUGE family size bag of chips, his mom is chatting away on the phone. Hello? you are in Disney. Who can you possibly be talking to?

While I am walking across the path to get to the steps to the slide at SAB, some girls were walking by and were saying how easy it would be to "pool hop" at the BC!!!! I wanted to dare them to try (the CM on the slide was checking wristbands!)

What size or where they are tend to upset me.:wave2:

I'll be calling home from the parks every night to say goodnight to the 2 children at home. There are many people one could be talking to from Disney.

This was gabbing about nothing for half hour (between waiting for the boat and the ride), while her child ran amuck. She was actually on the phone while chasing him off the boat.

I can top that, last Sunday, May 23rd, around 2 PM, my husband was in the Dumbo line with my daughter, while my sons and I rode Space Mountain.

Two children in line, with an older man (Grandpa?), were behind my husband. The little girl begins to cry about needing to use the bathroom. At this point, they're about 1/2 hour into the line. Finally, he proceeds to pull her pants down, and hold her by her knees, and lets her pee, right there in line.

I cannot believe this, and I made my husband swear to me that he was telling me the truth, and he is.

My mouth is still hanging open! I wonder if anyone else witnessed this. Let me know if you did.

OMG! We were in MK that day too. I would have died if I'd seen that one! And had a few comments for grandpa!

Amazing! In the situation of the little girl having to pee all he had to do was walk out of line and politely ask the CM if he could get a fast pass to come back in line so he could take her to the bathroom.

I hope somebody told a CM that saw this cause the smell could have stayed there for days before they mopped in there.

As my husband always says (he's a HS teacher), "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree".

My sister and I used our cell phone plenty of times during our last trip. Our parents were on vacation in SC, while my sister's family, my son and I were at Disney. We were always on the phone telling my mom about our day.

What's wrong with the kid eating chips? When we're on vacation healthy eating goes out the window. One night during our trip my son had a sundae and I had apple cobbler for dinner.

You know, all of these gross behavior threads are starting to put a damper on my upcoming trip! Yuck, I am actually considering going elsewhere! Hot sweaty people, wife-beating, sunburned babies, vomit, urinating in public, crowds, bedbugs, etc are detailed in alot of the threads posted right now. What's going on?

It amazes me how some parents are just uninerested in teaching their children right from wrong. Very sad.

Unbelievable!!

A few months ago, there was a post about a family who told their son to pee in the pool (I think it was at the WL) instead of helping him to the restroom.

Some people just don't get it.

I wonder what the people standing next to the grandfather had to say about that nonsense.

I don't believe the poster was complaining that the mom was on the phone - I think it was the fact that she was on the phone not paying attention to her child - this crosses over into driving. While I do have a cell phone, I hardly ever use it unless it is an emergency while I am in the car. Just in the last week I was almost hit twice by people merging into traffic, not paying attention, and yacking on that stupid phone - ticks me off!

Also, no one is asking anyone to be perfect at WDW - however, a little courtesy and good manners would be nice now and then!

Please don't let the bad experiences you hear turn you away from your trip to Disney. I work at our local zoo and if I told you have the things I see and hear from the guests, you would probably say the same thing. :(
The good experiences at Disney far outweigh the bad and no matter what I hear it WILL NOT stop me from visiting one of the coolest places on earth! :hyper:
There are just people out there who CANNOT be made happy and that's a really sad thing to say, but it's the truth. No matter where you go on vacation you are going to find someone with no common sense and no couth at all!! Can't tell you the things I saw from tourists when I lived in Alaska! Also can't tell you the things I see from tourists right here in the panhandle of FL!!
Anyway, plan your trip and ignore the "weird" people! They are out there and you just have to go on with your business as usual.

LET THE MAGIC LIVE ON!!

Here's another...family with 3 children, youngest is crying, crying, does not want to ride on Splash Mountain. CM tells them they don't allow children who don't want to ride to ride...parents then shoot child a look that can kill and kid pulls it together enuff so they can ride. I think the parents were just worried about wanting to ride bc line was extremely long (over 1 hour).

About 1 hour later, I see the same family in line for Big Thunder MR. Other child is now saying that he doesn't feel well. Again, parents tell him he is faking and to stop being a baby. This goes on for a bit until the child throws up in the line. He feels horrible and is so embarrassed the poor guy is crying. On top of this, the line must be stopped which causes chaos bc the line is massive and the stench is incredible bc of the close proximity and tremendous heat in the queue.

I thought Disney was supposed to be fun?
