Just back.
GAC: Was asked to explain my needs again before a new one was issued. No problem I had been expecting that and was able to calmly explain my needs.
Bus: At the resort (Coronado Springs) there was a white square on the pavement where I waited. As each bus pulled in I would shake my head no or wave them on so they knew I didn't need their bus. When it was my bus I simply held my hand up. At most of the parks, I would go through the regular line until I reached the HC gate and then would pull out and wait.
Had one of the older buses once at the MK. (The "cage" is what I call them). The driver lets the cage down. The ramp doesn't go all the way down so he pulls it back and then back down. He did this maybe 3 times. He then goes to the front of the bus and comes back with what looks like a manual. I thought what--he needs to get out the manual? Hasn't he been trained? Well instead of reading the pile of whatever it was he bought back he tried rolling it under the ramp and opening the ramp back up with the paper there. It didn't work so he gets out--with the ramp still down and readjusts the paper. Goes back into the bus and tried to lower the ramp more. Comes back and adjusts the paper again. He then calls over the cast member working the bus area. That cast member holds the paper down as the driver tries to lower the ramp again. At this point I am laughing and joking with others in line that I am so happy my safety depends on the 1/2" or so balled up paper under the ramp. At some point one of them comes up with what looks like a small washcloth and they use that. It must have been the magical misssing piece as I was allowed to use it then. There was a trainer working with new driver on one of the buses we caught a few days later and he explained that this is a problem with the older buses--that the sensors don't capture then the ramp is down so they use the white cloth. If one of the older models pull up --wait for the next bus.
Ride times: Toy Story Mania---loooonnnnnnggggg wait. Missed two showings of Philharmagic as the wheelchair area was filled.
Misc: On two occassions had people walk right around me at food carts. Me: Excuse me. Them: I'm sorry I didn't see you.--then back to placing their order.
Found it funny when people would pull their kids out of the way when they saw me coming. I'm looking directly at you--it is obvious I see you so there's no need to panic and yank your kid around. I assume these people have probably been run over by other drivers and now are overly paranoid.
Rain rain rain on Sunday (thanks Debby). Never had any issue with the ecv (thanks Walker Mobility).
