Just Back from WL-I loved it! *Long*

Ohhh Man. I just switched our WL reservation in December for AKL! Now I read this :) The only rooms available for the week in Dec we wanted to stay were the Courtyard view...I booked it a month ago but decided the cost was too much. I have tried to go "down" in view category but there is never any availability so I switched. Glad you had a great stay.

Don't fret tigerlilly, we also switched a Wilderness Lodge reservation to the Animal Kingdom Lodge with some trepidation. Turns out the Animal Kingdom Lodge is awesome. I mean they are 'sister' resorts, so it isn't surprising. But everything they say about the Wilderness Lodge with the huge and beautiful lobby, the beautiful grounds and the tranquil feeling - that is all 100% true about the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Thanks for sharing..... we love the WL!!! everything there seems incredible. Glad you were able to get the BBeds and had a great view too!!!

For those with bus transpo questions, we just got back from VWL about 3 weeks ago and never had any problems with them. We preferred taking the bus to MK over the boat (much faster, especially from the villas). You do share the EPCOT bus with FtW (pick up FtW) but you are dropped off first. I can't remember if we shared the MGM bus w/ another resort - I think it may have been shared with FtW also but you are dropped off first (we only spent about 3 hours at MGM after a morning at EPCOT so I don't know if WL picked them up). We shared the AK bus with either the GF or Poly (we picked them up but were dropped off first). The MK bus was dedicated.

In general, wait times were all manageable. Apparantly we had just missed the EPCOT bus and had to wait the full 20 minutes (which was about to get frustrating as 2 MGM buses came during the wait) but then the EPCOT bus pulled up immediately.

The waits were never that bad, and we had a 5 year and an infant with us. Great resort, good transpo...maintain the right attitude, take as many afternoon breaks as possible, and you will have a blast.

I really appreciate your positive comments about transportation. We leave on Saturday and this eases my mind a bit. Can't Wait.!!!!

No problem. By the way, our prior trips were in the Tower and but for the ability to walk to MK and take the monorail back, we did not really miss CR. The walk to the bus stop from our villa room was maybe 3 minutes. One night after MK, we waited 5 minutes for a bus and were literally back in our room 8 minutes later. 13 total minutes - we don't remember the CR being that much faster. The buses to AK and MGM definitely were not any better from CR. You will have a great trip!

It's a shame we can't spend a week every year at each of the deluxe resorts :cloud9: - so little time and so little money.

Thanks for the review, I just can't wait to be there. It will be our first time at WL and we are looking even more forward to it

It IS stunning.....and that is why we are getting married there! :cool1:
CONGRATULATIONS!! This is a beautiful place to get married. We saw a bride when we were there taking photos by the "waterfall" it looked just spectacular. Have a wonderful time and know that you will be touching so many others as you get married there. We still think about that cute couple getting married. Best wishes.

Thanks for the wonderful review. I will be there a scant 41 days from now! We have requested woods view with queen/bunks, as there are three woman and 1 man, we need those bunks! I agree with the beauty and majesty of the lobby. You really do feel like you are in another place. One of my fav things about the WL is late at night being able to refill my mug with hot tea and just head down to the lobby, sit in a rocking chair by the fire and relax. Its a great way to unwind after a busy day at the parks. :wave2:
