We just stayed for 1 week in a WP 2 bedroom condo. The condo and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. We had a great vacation. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Kimber,
I totally agree with you!!! We've stayed at Windsor Palms twice a year for the past four years and love it. After staying on-site yearly since I was a kid back in 1980 we would never go back. The resort is lovely and has all amenities including a small movie theater. It actually takes only four or five minutes to be on property if that.

With the short cut, we were on property really fast. We never had any traffic issues at all. My family was really impressed that I knew a shortcut!

Just got a quote from them for our trip in April. How close to WDW were you? I understand that there is a for pay shuttle but I figure we will pay parking. Thanks for anything you can provide. We priced a 2 bdrm for $90.00 per night, I believe was the quote.

We're staying at WP in a few weeks and I'd love to know what's the shortcut. Any other info would be great. We're renting a pool home.

From Windsor Palms entrance you turn left onto Sand Hill Rd (Formosa Gardens Blvd), when you get to the intersection with Funnie Steed Rd turn right (less than a mile), after less than a mile turn left onto Entry Point Rd (this section of Funnie Steed Rd is dirt). Go up to the intersection of 192 and cross it and the name changes to Sherberth Rd. Follow Sherberth to the first set of lights and turn right onto Osceola Parkway and follow the signs to whichever park you want. You will be across from Animal Kingdom when you get on Osceola.
When you leave the parks follow the directions to the Animal Kingdom area and when you get closer to Animal Kingdom Lodge (keep to the left side of the road or you'll go to the AK parking lot). You will find yourself back to the Sherberth intersection, turn left and go the same way as you came.
Here is a map with the shortcut marked in blue for Windsor Palms.
You can also go the green way on the map but the blue way will keep you off 192 except to cross it.
Line 2 blue and Line 3 green on the map. (Windsor Palms is in what is called the Formosa Gardens area along with other subdivision around there.)

Thanks for the info! We appreciate all these little tips. Can't wait for our trip - only 12 more days!
