Hello all,

I am just back from a 5 night stay at the Wellesley Inn & Suites Southpark which I booked on Priceline for $30 per night. We had a wonderful time and the trip report is coming soon. The parks were more crowded than we were used to, but we usually go in September.

I can't believe it's over - Guess we'll have to start planning another trip!

we're looking for a nice, clean, cheap place for one night at the start of our vacation before moving onto the property. Can you recommend this hotel? What area did you request on priceline? I LOVE using priceline for hotels!

What amenities did the hotel have? pool? breakfast?

Thanks!

Hi,

It is in the Florida Mall area - 2 mi from Universal and 10 mi from Disney. It is a brand new hotel. The rooms were nice and big. You get a full size kitchen - refrigerator/stove/ microwave & dishwasher, plus a living area & bedroom. We had two double beds and a pull out sofa. Normally, they give you a room with 1 queen bed. That was not going to work for our family so we paid a $10 per night upgrade to get the two doubles. They have free breakfast which includes waffles, toast, muffins, danish & cereals, milk, juice & coffee. I would definitely recommend it for one night. It was very cozy. We loved the location. It's kind of off the beaten path from the theme parks but there were lots of restaurants and a big super Walmart right across the street.

The only negative thing I have to say is that they did not clean our room after our first night - the beds weren't even made. When we called the front desk to ask why they told us that they only clean the room once for 5 nt stay and twice for a 7 nt stay. They only come in to vacuum and empty the garbage and give you new towels once a day. So they cleaned the room the next day and the beds were made up for the rest of our stay.

This won't effect you if you are only staying one night, but for more than one night I felt it was kind of annoying.

I forgot your other questions - Sorry!

I req'd Florida Mall area on Priceline. If you bid for a 2 1/2 you will more than likely get this htl b/c it is the only 2 1/2 star avail.

They had a small but cozy pool which we mostly had to ourselves. This hotel caters mostly to business travelers who only stay one night and most of them didn't swim.
