Just arrived home from a wonderful week at VWL! It was our third trip "home" since becoming members. I must say that I can't imagine our stay at VWL being any better.
Transportation: Less then a 5 minute wait (buses and boats) EVERY TIME (except the morning of the marathon to MGM...a routing issue the World needs to work out and that was only 20 minutes).
Room: We only request non-smoking and have always been located on the first floor. The room was spotless! The soundproofing in that place is amazing to me. We have NEVER heard so much as a peep from the people above or next to us on any of our trips there (something that wasn't the case during our two stays at the Poly prior to joining DVC).
Whispering Canyon: Ate there for the first time this trip and enjoyed it thoroughly. My DH joined the rest of the males in the restaurant for the "Buttercup Dance" that made for humorous pictures! The kids loved the stick pony races and the food was quite good and fairly priced!
Flag Family: We were honored to raise the American Flag (our 8 yo DD did) from the roof of Wilderness Lodge one morning, along with the two Wilderness Lodge flags, the State flag, and the Global Mickey Flag. The view from the roof was spectacular! It is not something we will forget anytime soon!
Transportation from/to airport: We tried YourRide for the first time this trip and found them to be very polite, personable and reliable! We will definately use them again!
Pool: While we were there they did some big filter cleaning/changing thing on the main Lodge pool which should last for the next 3-5 years (and keep the Lodge people out of our pool).
***The parks were wonderful as usual! The characters at Liberty Tree Tavern were the best this trip in terms of spending time with the kids! Our 4 yo was quite surprised when she told Goofy that she was 4 and he held up all his fingers on one hand. She looked very confused as she knew one of his fingers should have been folded down. When she realized he only had 4 she scratched her head and just stood there for a few moments. The exchange was priceless!!!**
And now that we are home (only about 2 hours now), my husband is drooling over the posting that mentioned something about the $15 off per point for an HH add-on. A big THANK YOU to the poster of that update!!
