We made it back from a hectic week at WDW. But let me assure you that my stay at the Swan was one of the highlights. It was clean, comfortable, and as always, convienient. Here were some of the observations (both good and bad) that I noted:

:D -- Immaculate bedding. It was clean and extremely comfortable.
:D -- Service was great. Never had a problem with housekeeping (except
one notable exception) Even had turndown service with chocolate!
:D -- View was awesome.
:D -- AC worked great.

:( -- No ventilation in the bathrooms. Gag! :earseek: Need I say more?
:( -- Lots of humidity in the room. Luckily it dissipated when we lowered
the AC.
:( -- Housekeeping barged in on us at 0800 on our checkout day! What
were they thinking? :confused3

Over all a wonderful holiday for me and the kids.

We stayed in a standard room at the Swan in July. I don't remember having any problem with ventilation in the bathroom. Is it possible the fan in your bathroom just wasn't working? The Swan is very good at switching rooms if there's any problem.

I always put at Do Not Disturb sign out when I go to bed, so I won't be disturbed the next morning.

We love the Swan. Besides the beds, they have a great health club.

I don't recall there being a fan in the bathroom, but I LOVE the Swan!

we were ther 2 weeks ago and we were also barged in on @ 9:00AM! But I did love the Swan!

Oh and how did you rate turn down service???? Which floor were you on???

We just returned from the Swan Monday. I agree - the service was outstanding. I posted a "just back..." thread as well. One problem we had was mold. The first room we were given was very moldy - you could even see the mold spores in the cracks of the wallpaper.

Our AC worked too - but it got chilly one night and the heat didn't work. BUT, they came promptly and fixed it.

It was our first trip to the Swan as we usually stay at the Disney resorts. We were pleasantly surprised and would stay there again with a good rate.

I have a question.............how can housekeeping "barge in on you" if you have the locks fastened? There are additional locks that can only be accessed on the INSIDE of the door to keep this very thing from happening. Does this hotel not have those? Every hotel I've stayed in around the country has some form (either chains or that bar-type thing) so that no one can enter the room

The Swan rooms do have a double look and the extra hook latch on the door. Maybe they didn't fasten both? Sometimes guests don't realize there's the extra turn lock?
