Just back from the Sept double dip

Hi all,

We just got back from the Sept 16-23 double dip. Can't say enough about the great time we had. Cast Myself, DH, DD, and DD friend both 16.

Here's the list of excursions we went on:

Castaway Cay:
Sting Reys
Eco jetski tour
Parasailing

Costa Maya:
Dune Buggy tour

Cozemel:
Atlantis submarine

If you have any questions about these please feel free to ask away;

Day 1 we didn't get to the ship until 12:15 and recieved bording # 18. My first mistake I forgot to fill out one of the forms so my daughter to the rescue while I returned the rent a car my DH and DD finished checking in and DD filled out the form and got all our KEYS TO THE WORLD we were on the ship by 12:30 and eating at the Topsiders Buffet by 12:45.

Rooms were ready @ 1:30 when we got there we had many little suprises for the girls in their room. DH suprised me with the Disney Mickey pearl necklace for our 30th anniversary.
Had the PLAPLAP rotation our servers were Denevil and Sumetra much better than the last time. Will post more later

We are on the Disney Magic Nov 4/06 Western and are also planning on doing pretty much the same excursions as yourself. How was the Atlantis Sub excursion? We are also booked for that and I wondered how much time there would be left after the excursion to look around. Was thinking about doing the excursion and then dropping the kids back off at the boat (9 & 10) and then checking out the shopping or would taking them to the beach be better..Any feedback would be appreciated..

I wish we could have met up at tleadt to get your wristbands to you. I think Amanda01 still has them. Awesome surprise from your DH..What stateroom were you in? I am wondering if I took a picture of it? I took pictures of the stateroom doors that I knew for sure were DISers and then of some that I wasnt so sure of...

We also did the dune buggy tour. Don't waste you money. We never ket the road. We went on a kittle sight seeing tour and then just drove to the beach. The one in Cozmel takes you through the jungle and the ruins. This was a waste of time and money. The beach was pretty but very dirty, and it was rough so they would not let us in the water. The free food was nacho's and sandwiches. We wanted real mexican food.

Take a different excursion.......

hi. sorry it took so long to post another bulletin, been REAL busy unpacking && working 72 hours this week. So, my daughter who is better at relaying info and who types faster will restart and continue the trip report lol.

Ok. Lets start from the begininng AGAIN.

We left O'hare Airport at 7:34pm and we arrived In Orlando at about 11:11pm. From there, we went to BUDGET and got our car to drive the 2 hours to the residence inn. By the time we checked in, everyone was dead tired, ((especially DDF && DH who both fell asleep right after we walked in)). My mother and I ((DD)) stayed up for about an hour or so more, bc we were just too excited to sleep!

I woke up at about 9am to find my mom playing games on the TV?! haha. She had been up for about 2 hours before. At about 1030am we woke up DDF to start getting ready to leave for the port!!! It still seemed unreal that we were just minutes away from getting on the ship.

We arrived at the port at about 12pm, where my mother left ME in charge of her beloved FOLDER ((the one where she keeps every single little document that we desperately need for this cruise lol)) and goes to return the car to budget.

Well. Let me tell YOU a lil story about how i wanted to like shoot my mother when she returned. Since she left me in charge of the folder, my father appointed me the one who has to check in! So I get in line, and get up to the desk where they ask to see all my papers. So I give the nice man the papers he asked for, when he asked to see this customs document... and im like WHAT?! yeah... totally WAS NOT IN THE FOLDER!!!! So much for organization MA!!!! So im standing there frantically looking for these stupid papers, when the VERY nice man looks at me and asks if i wuld jus like new ones that i can fill out right there. i was like YESS!!!!!! So i didnt have to get out of line, and was still able to check in. i was SOOO happy.

My mother FINALLY got back from Budget at like 12:30pm... o0o.. i was so angry with her!! but onli for about 2 seconds bc right as i was about to lay into her about leaving ME in charge with her stupid folder which didnt even have everything in it... they called our BOARDING NUMBER!!!!!! We were all SOOO excited!!!!!

So we get in line, and then go to take our embarkation pictures... And then we were FINALLY GETTING ON!!! SOOO HAPPY!!!!!

Then, of course we did the usual, went up to topsiders for lunch... MMMM FOOD!!! haha. Then DDF and I went to explore the ship, and told my parents that we would meet them by the rooms at about 2:45pm, bc they said they had a suprise for us haha.

So after what seemed like HOURS, we finally found our room ((We were on the wrong floor.... OOPS!!!! )) we went into our room to find out that they got the romance package for our room too!!!!! aw! i thought i was in heaven when i saw all the chocolate that was in the room!!

After trying one of every chocolate in the room We went to the life boat drill thing. Of course that was long.... but after we went up to deck ten to chill and watch the sail away party!!!!

My parents got the drink of the day which was a strawberry daiquri//pina colada mix... me and DDF got the non alcoholic ones. =/ lol

Then we went into our staterooms to get ready for dinner at parret Cay.

I particularly dont care for this resturant, even though it IS laid back. But our servers made me change my mind lol

Our head server was named Deneval. He was the sweetest man ever!! And his assistant was Soumitra. They were a great team, and they made my dinner experience very enjoyable. =)

After dinner, DDF and I went to the STACK and chilled up there while my parents went to bed ((the party poopers haha)). We got back to our room at about 2amish... bc of all the "meet new ppl" activities they had us doing lol.

**TOMORROW >> CASTAWAY CAY!!!!**

i PROMISE i will update again within the week... unlike my mother... haha
