We had a lovely day at the Gilestone Caravan Park with our DIS friends. It was a beautiful day when we drove into Wales...
The teepees were magnificent - you could almost see the herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the Brecons...
There was a tense moment, when the sound of ripping teepee came from behind us. It appeared that one of the supporting rods on Kev and Tam's teepee had slipped. Everybody went to have a look...
Carol and Callum invented a new DIS handshake...
Nat was very happy to have become a member of the 'most comfortable shoes in the world' club...
Although Jarvis wasn't impressed with them...
We feasted royally on sausages, burgers and chicken and several mouth watering desserts, such as Mars brownies, tropical fruit bars (I think Tam had another name for them but I can't remember
) and Deb's lovely banoffee slice. Do the sausages look cooked to you Carol?
It got a bit colder after lunch. Luckily Deb was prepared for the decline in the weather...
Jules and Ian had done a great treasure hunt for the kids, sending them running all over the camp site and making sure they would sleep well tonight
We had a Welsh quiz and, of course, a Disney quiz, then a lovely afternoon tea with warm scones, jam and Cornish clotted cream.
A wonderful day was had by all - a big thanks to Jules and Ian for organising the 1st Annual DIS Ging Gang Gooley ( understand this is now to become an Annual Event
)
I've got more pictures to post but I am worn out so really must retire to bed - must be all that healthy Welsh air, it's worn me right out
