I got 19 items(stuff like 4 packs of glue sticks- 5 packs of paper- 4 packs of pens- white out ect) Everything on sale(I did buy a 3 pack of scissors which wasn't really necessary but we are always losing those.

Grand total $27!

So get in your boat if you are in the northeast and get to Staples!

Thanks! I am going to try for the paper at least tomorrow. Not sure if it will be sold out or not. The paper is full priced here 75 cents at Walmart, and it's not worth the gas to drive all the way out there to make a special trip today.

Great prices for the liquid gel type pens and retractable Sharpies too! We also got the $1 pencils and a 7 color pen set for $1 and a pencil pouch for $2.

My daughter and I each spent a whopping total of 10 cents at Staples. We each bought 5 packs of paper. The store was PACKED. the lines were about 30 minutes long!!

Just got back from Staples also....ended up with 15 packs of paper. I run our school store and got 5 packs of filler paper. My 2 DSs (11 and 13yrs) went with me and bought 5 of their own filler packs. Ended up getting the 1 subject notebooks which are REALLY nice for $.75 each. I love Staples at this time of the year!!!
:thumbsup2

I hit Staples right after they opened. I got 5 pks paper, 3-notebooks (.75 ones-really nice with pockets inside), white-out, 1pk blue & 1 pk blk zebra pens ($1/pk), Papermate pencils $1 & those cute $1 monkey erasers. Gotta love Staples!:thumbsup2The store was getting crowded when I left. Glad I went early.:woohoo:Oh-and glue sticks!

DD and I did the same thing -- ten packs of filler paper for ten cents! :) The paper is only on sale until Wednesday.

If you are a teacher, you can buy 25 instead of the normal limit. The paper really helps! I teach in a low income area and now I have 25 reams of paper I can use for my students and it only cost 25 cents!

Thanks for a great idea, in my case it is finding a use for school paper no longer needed. I have much unopened pkts, all but one of my kids has graduated, the last one will be starting an E-school and will graduate from there, so all his work will be turned in online, I am the type of persone who stocks up on things when I can purchase them at a good price, I did with school paper and now have an excess that most likely will never be used.

Long story to say your idea of donating school supplies to a local school is propably the best bet for me to do!

I had a good day at Staples myself. I got:
25 packs of filler paper
one 2" binder
one Dell ink (black)

Grand total: $7.74 :yay:
I bring in my in used ink cartridges and had a teacher reward check for them that I needed to use by the end of this month.

I went just a little bit ago and used my sisters teacher rewards card and got 50 packages of paper (25 college, and 25 wide ruled) and pent 53 cents. WHOOO. I buy for my god children for back to school since my daughter doesn't need school supplies since she goes to private school and we just pay a supply fee. I was so excited to get things so cheap.

Don't forget that your local Walmart will price match that Staples ad. I got my 5 packs at Staples and then went to Walmart with the ad and they price matched 5 more.

The one subject notebooks are going to be 1 cent each starting on Sunday. Teachers get 25 of each. I'm going to return the ones I just bought for my students at Staples yesterday and buy them for a penny each!

The copy paper is going to be $1 a pack after the easy rebate. I almost bought paper yesterday for $2 so I'm glad I waited.
