cinder1 - one of my points exactly - sometimes you don't know until you get on that the bus is full. You're at the back and can't get out and the bus takes off.... how could you predict this??? My kids are old enough to stand securely and not be frightened now but I can sure relate to your situation and was hoping things had improved..... it was very frightening for my kids when they were little.

Amazing what is done to save a few $$$. Again, glad you had a good time at POR. We can't wait until our trip in 11 days.

I do have to side in with all of you who have posted that sometimes you just don't know that you'll be the one who ends up standing. That has happened to us several times. Usually if we see that the crowd is getting bigger and bigger we will just kind of wander off toward the back and then we pretty much know for sure and wait. Another big pet peeve of mine is the fact that you can be the first family at the bus stop but when that bus rolls in the crowd will push and push until suddenly you are the LAST one on the bus! What's up with that? LoL
