Hi Everyone- We just returned from the Poly LV Concierge. We were on the first floor with a wonderful view of the Castle and Space Mountain. I will answer any questions that anyone may have. My thoughts are:

I didn't really see any difference in the building itself. The rooms looked exactly the same as they did before the rehab. They definitely smelled better but it would have been great for them to add another sink.

The food was great. Chef Dick was awesome, as usual. The food was good. They no longer have small bottles of water. They only have large bottles to pour into cups. I saw many people walking off with the large bottles but I'm sure that's not what's intended. The lounge was packed every morning and every evening. There were tons of kids and tons of whining and crying kids. I also saw and heard a fair amount of sick kids in the lounge which was concerning. The fact that so many people walk straight in from the parks without washing their hands and then touch all of the tongs, spoons, etc. kind of grosses me out but then again I'm a bit of a germaphobe.

The staff was especially unhelpful. It was like pulling teeth to get them to help us with anything. From the time we arrived at the resort to the time we checked into our room was 1 hour and 50 minutes. There were six groups waiting to check in at the concierge with ONE person working last Saturday evening. It then took another 30 minutes to get the bags. Very frustrating.

That's all for now. Like I said, I'm happy to answer any questions anyone may have so ask away!

Hi. We are scheduled to stay at the Poly Concierge and find it interesting that the staff was so unhelpful. Do you think it was worth the additional funds? Have you stayed anywhere else? Thanks for any info you can give me.

I think it's worth it for the location and the food. We were actually able to skip dinner a couple of nights and eat the food in the lounge for dinner. I think it depends which cast member you ask for help. One time I asked one of them for help with dinner and she was great. Every other time I asked for something it was literally like pulling teeth. Some of the time the woman I spoke to was downright rude. It really depends what you are looking for in the concierge to decide whether it's worth the extra money for your family or not.

We've stayed in Poly concierge many times and I also have to say that the staff is NOT why we return. The location and the ease of the lounge for snacks makes it worthwhile for our family w/2 small children. We make all of our own PSs etc.. This is only my experience so keep in mind that others may feel completely differently. Threehearts

We had a few complaints with the staff when we stayed at the Poly last year relating to rooms not being ready when they were promised. I sent in our complaints on their questionaire and received an apology and a one-night credit on our stay. Despite the problem we had, we loved the Poly and are hoping to stay there again in May.
