Just Back from POFQ Aug. 27-30

Well, I have to say I was hesitant at first to stay here because I have always loved the Poly and was scared that a moderate resort would be lacking somehow. The only thing I really missed were the monorail.
Otherwise I really liked POFQ. We were in building 5, 3rd floor. It was soooo quiet, I never heard others.
However, there were glitches. The room was REALLY dusty. So much I thought it had been empty a while. The shower in our room did not drain. The fridge was not cold. The air conditioner in our room leaked water all over the carpet. When we noticed the wet carpet and asked to be switched to another room we asked for a valet thingie and was told there was no such thing at the resort. Seeing how it was midnight and too tired to argue, we said we were too tired to repack everything. We left the room and maintainence came up and "fixed" the air and and shower (finally). The next day we noticed the water in the carpet creeping (and squishing) towards the beds. This time we demanded to be moved and they DID have a metal valet thingie. It took them forever to come to the room though to help us and give us new key cards. I was not happy not being a priority.
The new room was fine. Having said all of this I would still stay there again. -Wendy

Wow that sounds really awful wasn't POFQ recently renovated?
I'm surprised at your trouble. Glad you would still stay there. What did you like about it?

I'm sorry your experience wasn't good. We just got back and were in bldg 7 and had no problems at all.

The grounds were nice. The area was quiet. The room furnishings seemed pretty new. The price was right. Loved the pool.
