Checked into VWL about 1:30 pm on Saturday, got a "Welcome Home" at check in and our room was ready(3549). Very nice room and clean, could actually see the lake through the trees. Had dinner that night at WCC, my youngest loved the "ketchup" thing.

Took the boat to MK a couple of times to check out activity at CR(some sort of big crane and or drill on site). :thumbsup2

Missed the big storm on Sunday, luckily we watched the weather and planned accordingly unlike some of the people who got stuck at MGM(went to Mama Melrose and Fantasmic that night) they left some big puddles on the seats(we brought a couple of towels not thinking we would need them for the bus seats).

All in all had a great time and VWL is a great place. DH has decided if CRV doesn't come through VWL might be a good choice for some additional points.

Now to start planning our Thanksgiving trip to SSR!

I'm glad you had such a great time at VWL!

I'm so glad to hear such positive posts about your WDW stays. I am looking into VWL....so I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

Sounds like a fun trip. Did you see any of these:

Glad to hear you had a good experience. We are counting down the days to our first DVC stay in August, hopefully at AKV (got the number programmed on 3 phones for a dialing blitz at 8:59am on May 16th) :)

My God man... didn't you bring your camera. Where are the pics of the CRV construction? We are starving for pictures....

EDIT: just remembered that you are probably a woman, so... My God woman...

Granny, that photo looks like they are taking core samples. I can imagine the wetland like ground in that area might need some pretty special footings, and a building the size of the one we have seen drawings of would need something pretty substantial.

Hey, DH decided he had to carry the camera and was to busy checking out the location to get it out of the bag. :rotfl2:

Anyway the picture Granny posted is 100x better than I would have gotten.;)

Great to hear you had a good stay at VWL :)

Starr...I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip and VWL. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it. :thumbsup2

And I've edited the post above with the picture. I should have provided photo credit, and I posted the link to a couple more pictures. They are very good especially considering they were taken from the monorail. :)

I will add our adventures on Disney buses, our bus to MGM, the driver pulled into the horse riding area at FW and about got the bus stuck, but was able to turn around and proceed to the actual bus stop. Lucked out on Monday am, as we were going to Epcot and the Epcot buses were running freely, many groans as it was the 4th Epcot bus and no MK or AK buses.

Monday night at MK, 2 ladies decided to smoke standing right in front of the red posts in the bus lane!:confused3 . They stood there smoking, didn't even move when the bus pulled up. Needless to say the driver got out and had a word with them.

All in all the bus service was good(not all drivers were correcting their signs, MGM bus showed up, but was going to DTD, good thing we asked).

Glad that you had a great trip at VWL! Looks like you had a dedicated 2-br, given the room number.
