I spent one night at OKW. This was my first time staying there and just some observations.

STayed in room 1720 and could hear the pounding of Pleasure Island at night.

The tub had a problem draining and if I was going to be spending more than one night I would have said something. Didn't realize it till the morning that I left.

Great resort otherwise. Room was awesome!

You can definitely hear PI from OKW. I have never found it to be a problem with the doors and windows closed. There are resorts much closer to PI, I haven't really heard that complaint before.

Was it a studio or bigger? OKW room size is mostly apparent in the one bedroom and larger units. They are so nice to entertain in.

Building 17 isn't on the end of OKW near PI. I would expect it more from the buidings in South Point. Are you sure it wasn't from Typhoon Lagoon? They sometimes have afterhours parties there. I heard they have a big one for the Gay Day festivities, which was last week.

Building 17 is a long way from PI. They do have fireworks there which may have been what you heard. At certain conditions sound can travel a long ways, they really must have heard it down at South Point that evening. The newest member of our DVC family is going to be Saratoga which will be right across from PI. They might have to build some kind of sound wall there to stop the noise. Your situation at OKW is rare especially down at the buildings you were staying at but it could have been something else like one person suggested.

We were in building 64 over Memorial Day weekend & never heard noise from Pleasure Island. Every night after 10 p.m. we sat out on the balcony for awhile with our drinks & good conversation :).

I certainly hope you let someone - front desk, housekeeping, engineering, etc. - know about the drain before you left the property. Members need to report items that need repair.
