We were there 9/29 to 10/11. Our location was room 1120. As always the room was great, and the service was above reproach.

During the last week of my stay, they blocked off the parking lot in front of all the other units in area. The signs said it was for rehab. It made parking a little dicey, but I love seeing rehab being done. It's a positive indication that our dues are being spent on what's important.

I had a couple of issues to deal with, and the front desk staff was more than up to the task. On the ride down, we called the the front desk while cruising through Georgia. We needed the address of a local phamarcy. They immediately provided the information. We picked up medicine on the way in, and a "vacation" cold was nipped in the bud.

Three days into the trip, I lost a crown. Oh man, this is going to be a headache. Try to find a dentist, is the dentest reputable, where is the office, etc........ Nope. A trip to the front desk provided a dentist who was on 24 hour call and a map to his office. A couple of hours later, I'm crashing the parks looking for a turkey leg.

I'm sure those folks that work the front desk have some tough days, but it never showed. They were always helpful and enthusiastic.

One of my little ones was happy to see they added Playstation units at Hanks. We had a PS1 in the room (which we brought), but it was "much more fun" to play at hanks. Don't quite understand this one, but it's their vacation too.

We rented a canopy boat, and took a nice trip through the canals. The kids love this stuff. They think the canals are filled with root beer (those of you who have been through them will understand). I guess it's from watching too much Willy Wonka.

While in the boat, we got a good view of SSR. They are making great progress. It really looks like it will be a neat development. I bet they will have a great view of any midnite fireworks from Pleasure Island.

Oh well, now I have to wait a couple of weeks to make reservations for next year. This is always the tough part.

Thanks for the report---sounded like you had a great visit. And, yes, I do know what you're talking about with the root beer---too funny.

What size villa is 1120? What type view? How was the view?

It's a studio (next year will be a GV or 2BR). The view is of the woods. It was certainly serene. Seems like an incredible amount of butterflies were floating around the various vegetations.

However, I have also enjoyed the golf course views. The expressions of golfers when they see their ball heading for a watery tomb, is hilarious.

We were down there at the same time, 10-3 / 10-11, room 2122.
I have to agree with you about the front desk CM's. The three times that I had to deal with them, I was kind of embarassed being a DVC member, listening to other members being rude and obnoxius to them because "all of their requests were not met, etc." They were pleasant throughout, which is a credit to them.
