I must confess-I feel so guilty! I took a wash cloth home from OKW. I promise to return it on my next trip. Whew! Now I feel better. We had a 1 BR, 4225. They told us it wasn't a golf course view, but we saw the golf course as well as in a couple supposed golf course views. OK location, kind of far from things, but it was extremely quiet and so convenient to the Turtle Pond pool, so I'd definitely not mind having that villa again. Yes, the Turtle Shack was open until 5:00, but we never ate there, so I don't know what they sold. The Sultry Seahorse from Gurgling SUitcase-did they double the alcohol content? It sure was potent! DH had a couple mud slides-the bartender one night made great ones, another bartender another night was just OK. On trash and towel day, they didn't replenish anything (coffee and "fixins", laundry soap, toiletries, etc.)-just gave us more towels and emptied some (not all) trash. But there was no problem with cleanliness nor maintenance issues except that the table on the balcony was extremely wobbly, we've never had one that wobbly before. Bus service was quite good when we were there. Any questions-I'd be happy to try to answer. Also had family members in a BWV studio and we went to BCV.

It would seem the table wasn't the only thing that was wobbly! :drinking1 Sounds like you had a good trip!

They won't miss the dumb thing; don't sweat it. You can easily return it next time!

I have been in #42 at OKW and LOVED it -- Turtle Pond pool is our favorite and we love the Turtle Shack for lunch. Glad you had fun.

So, tell us, did you have any gelato on your trip to BCV? :goodvibes

You take that washcloth back right now!

For your punishment, you must stay with that washcloth for another week at OKW...I'll be looking for it when I get there on June 8th :lmao:

Glad to hear that you liked that section of OKW-I requested that area for our big family trip next month.

No, every time I went there, I'd just eaten (Surprisingly, I do lose interest in gelato when I've just eaten a Kitchen Sink). But I did take pictures so I can drool:

How many people are crazy enough to take pictures of gelato in the case?

Okay, so we are leaving in a couple of weeks and I MUST know where that gelato is!!! I LOVE THE STUFF!

As for the washcloth....I hope it was a nice little animal shape!;)

You're in luck Diane because it is at the BC Marketplace. As I recall you are staying at the Swan or Dolphin on your next trip? So you will be just a short walk away. We had some on our last trip and it was delicious!

You know, I really needed that specific wash cloth.

I am calling security:lmao: .

I'm really surprised that you didn't even get a small dish...but after a Kitchen Sink, I understand!!!! ;) I bet if they had pistachio though, you would have had to try some anyway!

I'm looking forward to some gelato when we're there in two weeks.

OMG, I also stole a wash cloth from OKW last week! Unfortunately, DS5 came down with a stomach bug (thankfully a mild one) on the day we were leaving and he kept feeling like he was going to be sick. We let him keep the washcloth with him for that purpose. The poor little guy was so weak that he couldn't walk far so we had to carry the baby and let him ride in the baby's stroller. So if you saw a little boy with his long, skinny legs dangling over the edge of a baby stroller with a wash cloth on his lap at OKW, that was DS. We stopped at Gooding's on the way to the airport to buy an umbrella stroller for DS and when we got to the airport, we found that it only had 3 wheels:headache: ! We managed to push him through the airport on the back 2 wheels, but it wasn't easy. Also, we will not be able to return the washcloth on our next trip. DS was sick on the plane so we had to "donate" the washcloth to JetBlue's trash receptacle.

Poor little guy! I hope he's feeling better. We didn't see him around OKW last week, but I see you're from Boston-we did see tons of Boston Red Sox shirts there.

He is better, thanks.

It was school vacation week here, so lots of New Englanders/Red Sox fans were at WDW.

At least you know that you're not the only washcloth thief at OKW. I hope that meakes you feel less guilty ;) ! Hey, at least you can return yours someday. I'll probably be banished from OKW and have to stay somewhere on International Drive from now on ;) .

I hope you enjoyed your trip.

Somehow my ice cream drumstick I was sitting here crunching on has lost its appeal after seeing pictures of my favorite rum raisin gelato!!!!

I never use the washrags anyway, lol.

Hello....my name is Sammy and I'm a washcloth thief. I must confess that I also went home with an OKW washcloth last week. I had forgotten that I wrapped my eyeglasses in a facecloth when I carried them in my backpack to the parks (while I was wearing my contacts). I never put them back on before we left, so i found them still wrapped in that dang washcloth when I unpacked the backpack at home.

I submit that our collective punishment should be mandatory attendance at several support meetings to be held at the scene of the crime. Preferably poolside with many mudslides. :thumbsup2 :drinking1

Sounds like a fair punishment. Count me in!

I just hope there's not an article in the next issue of Vacation Magic about the recent rash of washcloth theft at OKW.:guilty:

Ah, yes-now that's my kind of "punishment". We had one bartender one night who made the BEST mudslides ever. Maybe she'd be willing to help "administer" our punishment.:rotfl2:
Actually, the reason I stole the washcloth is almost identical to yours. My eyeglasses were wrapped in them on our last day at the parks. And although I changed from contacts to glasses for the trip home, we'd already checked out of OKW when I put my glasses on, and I was too lazy to go back to OKW just to return a washcloth. But now laughinplace199 has me thinking-it would be so embarrassing if there were such an article.
