Okay - 1st off- these are my opinions & mine alone.
4 night vacation at SSR with my sister. April 18th - 22nd
A lot of stuff is said about SSR on the board, so I was quite concerned about how it would actually go.
At check in - CM circled our building and drew a line on the map. Okay - we got lost. We we're gonna turn around but we carried on and finally found our building in Congress Park. Room 2474, third floor, dtd view. Room was nice, clean and we had no problems with the room.
The only thing I have to mention was that 2 knobs on the dresser below the tv were broke. The screws had fallen out of them and they had yet to be fixed. Not a big deal to us.
Buses - now heres the real problem, at least to me. It took us acouple of days to figure out the routes. Some of the waits were long (30 min). People were getting confused and would ask the bus driver questions about what stop was next, closest to the lobby, etc...This happened almost on every bus.
It got to be a joke with us passengers about how many were getting off at certain stops. And how long it took to get to them.
If I were to go back I would want a car. The walk to the food court/shop/lobby was a hike. While I understand you can grab the bus to the closest bus stop, my faith in the buses was low.
The grounds were nice, as was the pool and food. But this resort would be my last choice. I thought the Poly was bad for walking, but this took the cake.
Sorry, all you SSR lovers. I guess I'm looking for a more compact resort next time.
Again, this is my opinion alone. But, hey, I'm at Disney. So I guess my complaing should be at a minimum.
