Just back from MNSSHP 9/15

Thanks for the great news about MNSSHP. We are going for the first time this Friday, Sept 22. We'll post about our visit when we get home!! Thanks again.. :Pinkbounc

We were disappointed about the photo sessions going away, also.... and weren't going to do any photopasses - since we looked like drowned rats.... but we found two different photographers with no line - so we did it.

We stopped by the Photopass at the Marketplace - next to Team Mickey - yesterday before coming home, and asked if they would bring up our pictures.

She did... and she showed me a really neat MNSSHP 2006 border. I asked her if I would have access to that border online, and she said, "Yes."

But - it wasn't the case. There's a few dated borders - but they're just normal "WDW" borders - nothing about Halloween on MNSSHP.

So - if you're wanting the MNSSHP border - you may have to do it in the park.

Just FYI....

Can you order your discounted MNSSHP photo at one of the parks the next day?

Okay - I was adding a second MNSSHP to our schedule, we are going 10/12 - staying one night at the Poly (big treat for us being local - hard to justify the cost!!!) - so I had picked 9/29, until I realized 9/22 (THIS FRIDAY) gets an AP discount.... so we will be there on 9/22!!!!! Woo Ha! Even better, I don't think I can wait 11 days!

If you see DD - you've all seen her pics, and her Pooh sized Mom (that would be moi!) in our white T-shirts with Daisy dressed as Malificent - say HI! Conveniently they have our names under the "duck!"!!!!

I am such a KID when it comes to DISNEY!

The frame holds two 4x6 photos.

Oooh, interesting. We have one from 2005 and 2003 want to make sure we get this one.

That's ok, we weren't wearing any lime green either. I forgot my Mickey paint chips at home. :lmao: Hopefully I'll have a pic of us up soon. Wes went as Master Gracey with this gothic style Victorian suit (complete with top hat) and I went as a pirate (more specifically as Elizabeth Swann in her pirate outfit in POTC2).

Okay, honestly, how hot were you? I'm going as Elizabeth Swann as a pirate too, DH is going as Capt. Jack and DS is going as Davey Jones. pirate: I am preparing myself to be warm and the thought of not wearing the awesome costumes I've spent the last month pulling together just kills me. But if you thought it was too hot, I may bring Halloween tshirts and shorts for each of us to change into. What do you think? :confused3

We plan on getting to the party at 4:00pm because we have ADRS at LTT at 4:10pm and I was wondering if we'd be able to go on any rides before 7:00pm? And...will we be able to walk all around the park until 7:00pm? We will be done with dinner before 7:00pm, so I want to know what we will be able to do. One last question...are the MNSSHP items only out for sale at 7:00pm or do they put them out a little earlier? I'd like to have my shopping out of the way before the party, but don't know if that is possible. Thanks! :thumbsup2

In the past, party items, such as pins and tshirts, have only been available during party hours. I remember waiting a few times for them to start with the pin sales at 7!

They used to close the shops with the party merchandise until 7 PM. Not sure what they are doing this year. As long as you have your wristband I doubt anyone will stop you.

I am also curious about the lines from 4-7pm. Also, any recommendations about which rides to try to get on during that time? Thanks!

I didn't go yet this year, but the reports I have read have mostly said lines were short before the party. That was true for all the early in Oct parties last year as well. I went Oct 2nd last year. (I think, that week anyhow)

As to what to ride, I will make sure to ride the Jungle Cruise because it is one of the few rides not open for the party. What worked for us was any ride with almost no wait, we rode. From 5-7 last year there were no lines for anything (although from 6-7 many rides were closed). The only line for a ride we saw that night was for Space Mountian. I think that is because the candy trail exits right near it, and there is a dance party near it. So that is another I plan to fit in before 7 if possible.

There are no times listed in the schedule for the Dance Parties. I know the one in Fantasyland started promptly at 7pm this past Friday, we did not make it back to Tomorrowland during the party to check that one out!
