Just back from MNSSHP 9/15

We actually found that adventureland was more crowded! They are doing face painting in adventureland as well. Never found the balloon guy, wish we had! As for rain, we did the party in the rain last year as well. Lucky us! It was actually better this year. Last year they completely canceled the first parade and the headless horseman never came out. This year, just a delay,a nd he rode slower. And at least on the 15th, the CM's over by the Carousel of Progress were giving out the best candy, and the most of it!! Buzz was out next to his ride. And Snow White was out with all the dwarfs in fantasyland.

Around what time did you go to Adventureland? Was it your first stop of the night, last? When did you leave? Thanks for the info! :teeth:

Thanks for all the info. We are going 10/5 and can't wait

You've given me much to ponder and plan, thanks! I have a very short time as I am cramming this into a kids 4 day weeked off from school and letting them miss one day (cough, cough sick day) for the return flight home--I feel badly about that, but I couldn't miss the Halloween party. We will end up with one day at Epcot, an AM at AK and the rest of that day at MGM followed by the day at MK followed by MNSSHP. My kids are 15 and 11 so that kind of a day will be fine for them, plus they can sleep on the plane the next day so no big whoop.
Thanks for the maps and the scoop, now I can create a plan of attack.

Thanks everyone for all the great info :thumbsup2

what time dose the party finish and if anyone stayed to the end was it still very busy

We just got back last night and we were at our first MVSSHP on 9/15, great ending to a great trip. It was totally awesome except for the downpour we had but it cleared up pretty quickly and everything resumed.

I bought the halloween t-shirt for me and my DD, adults are black and youth are orange but have the same print on.

We saw the 2nd parade, missed the first one and also saw Hallowishes, which was beautiful, we were hypnotized by it haha, oohs and aahs and lots or "wows"!

Face painting was free in Toontown, they let us in at 4PM and it was a blast and a memory that will last forever!! :goodvibes

Oh dear it's too early for me, party was from 7PM - midnight, but we left at 11:30PM, we were just beat! Grrrr we should have stayed longer

We bought the first Halloween trading/collector pin and I love the first one, which will also be the only one for us as we won't be going back again any time soon :sad2:

I have 13 rolls of film to get developed and had 48 pictures on Photopass including the special Halloween Photopass the give out on MNSSHP. but almost all pictures have my DD with closed or squinting eyes "bright light", had I know she would have worn her sunglasses on every one!!!!!!

Again, our stay was wonderful, OKW was great and then some, the parks weren't crowded imo but the lovebugs were swarming, or starting too!

:rotfl2: That is exactly what our plan is!! Well, with the exception of it being 4 kids at heart instead of 4 kids. When are you going?

What did the pins look like? Also, was the Wicked Witch (I've already seen pics of the Evil Queen) from Snow White in the parade or the villains show this year?

Anyone knows if i purchase the photopass CD, can i include the halloween 50% discount pic?In that way, i "wouldnt pay" for it...thanks!

Venga,salu2.

Thanks for the parade pictures, Corey !!! Those are the best pics of the headless horseman I've ever seen anyone capture !! :thumbsup2
This is one of my favorite WDW parades - I'm glad they had Christopher Robin and the HM man with the dog again!! :smooth:

Hi everyone! We did the 9/15 MNSSHP, too! I know that everyone has already posted the details, but I wanted to chime in and say how very much we enjoyed it. It was our first MNSSHP--we've done MVMCP, but not the Halloween party. Even with the rain, we LOVED it! We saw Prince Phillip, Aurora, Prince Charming, Cinderella, Minnie in her witch costume, Alice, Tweedledee & Tweedledum, the Walrus, and one of the Little Einsteins in ToonTown. I heard a CM say that the Alice characters were only in there due to rain. We also saw Mickey in his costume in the Judge's tent. We were back in Toontown around 6:45, so when the party started the lines weren't terribly bad. It's just DH & I, so we had lots of fun getting character pics.

We watched the 1st parade from Main Street, and then we went to Hallowishes (AWESOME--I wish they sold the music!!) and then to the Villains show at 10:15. They did not have the show, but the villains did come down for meet and greets. After that, we went to Adventureland, and we saw Hook, Smee, Peter Pan & Wendy all out and about. We also saw Jane, Baloo, and Rafiki in the Adventureland character room. We walked on toward HM, and we got to see the 2nd parade in Frontierland--we got much better pics that time! We loved the ghost lady outside of HM! We went to Fantasyland around 11:05 or so to see if the Pooh characters were out. We were in line for Pooh and Mummy Eeyore when Snow White and the dwarves came out, so we ran to get that pic and came back for Pooh and Eeyore. The whole night was awesome!

I thought the shirts were neat, and I LOVED the photo frame (not sure why I didn't buy that one!). Just a note--that was the last night of our trip, and we waited until the end of the party (around 11:45 pm or midnight) to go to Exposition Hall to see our pics and make a CD. The line was out the door. It moved pretty quickly--the CMs were doing an excellent job--but if you think you are going to want to purchase the PhotoPass pics, that's just something to know. Also, someone asked if you could get the MNSSHP pics on your CD. We did that, but one note about that--they can put a ghost in your photos from outside the HM. I was very excited about that, and the CM said the "ghost" would show up on the cd--that only borders wouldn't show up. When I got the cd home today and started working on it, there is no ghost. Not a problem, but it's something to know!

Sorry to have rambled so long, but we loved it! I am so excited to do it again!!

Thanks everybody for your posts, we are going next week on the 29th for our first MNSSHP and can't wait this has really got my DW excited.

:confused3 We are also going on the 29th and I was also wondering about little children. My DD is 2 and 1/2, I am concerned about her being out "late." Maybe we will try to get through the 2nd parade and leave after that!! Anyone else have a plan for little ones...?

We were disappointed about the photo sessions going away, also.... and weren't going to do any photopasses - since we looked like drowned rats.... but we found two different photographers with no line - so we did it.

We stopped by the Photopass at the Marketplace - next to Team Mickey - yesterday before coming home, and asked if they would bring up our pictures.

She did... and she showed me a really neat MNSSHP 2006 border. I asked her if I would have access to that border online, and she said, "Yes."

But - it wasn't the case. There's a few dated borders - but they're just normal "WDW" borders - nothing about Halloween on MNSSHP.

So - if you're wanting the MNSSHP border - you may have to do it in the park.

Just FYI....

Here's a couple of pictures. We didn't have time to do much in the way of costumes this year... But we were glad that we weren't wearing wigs and heavy costumes considering the way the weather turned out!

The last two pictures are blurry. I hate the way my flash pictures turn out, and I refuse to drag around a tripod. But I thought these still looked pretty cool. Especially the HM dancers - they look like real ghosts!!

Love your costumes, and those do look like real ghosts! Cool! :cool1:

I've never really known much about MNSSHP, but I'm thinking I might have to try to go next year! It sounds so cool! Especially the parade with the Headless Horseman and the ballroom ghosts.
