Me and my family just got back from Keystone Resort using points. We has a great time skiing and the 2 BDR Condo was very nice. It was in River Run and it was at the Bufalo Lodge. I was very pleasantly suprised by the size of the condo very Large and the quality was very nice. After reading several post on here about it being a bad value to use points for other places I would say I would do this again in a heart beat. We got a 2BDR Condo for 5 nights Sunday through Thursday for 207 points during Spring Break. And for a Ski resort Spring Break is high Season. When we go to BCV this summer it will cost almost the exactly the same in points for 5 nights Sunday through Thursday. I was talking to check in at Keystone and found out that Disney pays them $565 a night for these rooms. Any way this worked for me and thought I would share my experience.

We spent spring break there 2 years ago and had a blast. We are going to try for Thanksgiving at Keystone this year, but so far MS is only taking reservations through May of 2004. Glad you had a good time!!!!

Sam, Thanks for the info. We did an II swap to Breckenridge, Grand Timber Lodge 2 years ago. That worked out great as well.
Isn't DVC great!! All the options we have plus the wonderful DVC resorts too.

Question: 207 points for 5 night is 41.4 points a night? How did they come up with such an odd number? Or did your trip span some point boundry, like Dream to Magic season at DVC.

Thanks,

Is that for ANY II or Concierge exchanges??? Or just for the Keystone resort? If it is for everything.....that makes me wonder why????

Keystone is on the conceirge list. I do know that depending on where you stay at Keystone and when you stay matters your points can vary quite a bit. As far as 207 being a strange point total I think they charged more points one night than for the other 4. Sort of like what DVC does if you stay a Friday or Saturday

Me thinks Disney is WAY overpaying if that's true. We just stayed in Keystone at a resort just down the road from River Run in a 1 BR spa suite and it was only $104/night. I can't imagine that a 2 BR would be THAT much more expensive.

I don't know if this is the correct way to figure this but a quick calculation shows that Disney is valuing points at $13.65 a piece, $3.65 above the average current rental price. If this is true then will we see rental point prices start to uncrease?
