I've enjoyed everyone's reports so here is mine, time is limited so I'll just hit the high points.
Cast:
Me 36
Dh 32
my mom 68( but in good health)
DD 3.5

5/14 check into HRH. It was awesome! Friendly staff,
housekeeping wasn't as outstanding as you would expect for the type of hotel, but not dirty or anything. Loved the pool, Dd was very angry she was too short for the slide.
5/15-5/17 FOTL ruled! we waited for nothing. Dd loved woody's coaster and the flying unicorn as well as those flyer's which we went back to do early the next day b/c it was early they let us all do it usuallyyou can't get on w/o a kid. Cat in the hat was great. Dh and I did all the coaster and big kid stuff one afternoon while grandma and Lexi had a rest. We will totally stat at HRH again

5/17 p.m. check in to CBR got into our room early 1:30.
DH had golf Ressies at 3:40 We girls just enjoyed the resort . Lexi and I got hair wraps and Finally she got to go on a pool slide she loved that and did it about 200 times. We were in Barbados, it has been redone and was very nice. I asked for Martinique or trinidad N. but wanted in early so didn't complain. I thought the walk was not bad my mom wasn't thrilled with it.

5/18 animal kingdom. Not my Favorite park. Lion king show was great though.

5/19 early entry Mk did all of fantasy land with no wait did Toon town at rope drop. and then continued on. thanks to good planning and fast pass, had no real waits at all. Swim and rest afternoon, spectromagic at night.

5/20 Early entry mgm but had to let the troops sleep in. They were getting tired. Went to Mgm 10 ish, crowds weren't bad. DH and mom did WWTBAM and dd and I did mermaid and Bear. Skipped RnR and TOT as Dh and I were going the next night. DH and my mom went to epcot at night.

5/21 M.K. again. Swam in afternoon. Dh and I went to Mgm about 4 for Tot And RnR, no lines to speak of used fast pass and standby and did them a bunch. Ate at Brown Derby got pass for fantasmic went to WWTBAM and Dh got in the Hot Seat!! The show ended with him still there so they asked if he'd come back he said"well I'll have to miss Fantasmic but sure." He made it to 32,000 points at the next show. ( we had to wait about 15 minutes between shows) The cast was all really nice to us and treated us like we were some big deal, some kid even asked Dh for his autograph. When Dh lost we got to leave and they said they had arranged special seating for us for fantasmic and someone escorted us over. Dh won a hat, Game CD, golf shirt and a bunch of pins. It was a great Anninversary. DH even remembered to say he had his beautiful wife in the audience and it was our 7th anniversary. Brownie points for him!!

5/22 blizzard beach. DD loved it!! She went on every thing she could fit on. The Family raft ride was great.
Downtown Disney in late afternoon. E night for me and DH.
5/23 early entry MGM, we made it this time. DD left the park as Belle after the Beauty and the Beast show.
Swimming in afternoon. DH and mom went to MGM for more WWTBAM thet were addicted.

5/24 DD and I did MK early entry and then met up with Dh and Grandma at the Poly for late character Breakfast. I bought her Belle's dress and she insisted on putting it on. I have great pictures of her standing on a bench with her arm out saying" Welcome to the Magic Kingdom." OH. to be 3 and think you're a princess! That made my trip even more magical. Then it was to the airport and back to Maine.

This was pretty long after all. To sum it up, HRH is so Great! CBR was really good and housekeeping really went out of their way with DD's animals and making bunnies and birds with the wash cloths.
(She thought her stuffed pig did it all, which cracked us up.) Much more than the Poly people did last year.

Sounds like you guys had a wonderful trip! Congrats to your DH for making it into the hot seat!

Beth :D
8 days until WDW!!!

place.......plus.....brownie points for being from Maine..........thanks again for posting

Wonderful report! We are doing about the same as you, except I wasn't planning on early entry...hmmm I'll have to think on that one!

Bus was pretty fast . We had about a 15 min. wait on one EE morning, but going back to the hotel was never a problem. We didn't use it too much though, just for Mk EE and if the adults were going to MGM at night. For Blizzard Beach and Spectromagic we took our car. Food court was good. Food was all good; especially the Chicken Cesear salad. DD liked the pizza and Spagetti. Service was a bit slow at times I thought, but we went to Port Orleans to eat one day just for a change and they were MUCH slower!!! All in all it was very good.

THanks for the report - how cool to be in the hot seat - and not have to miss Fantasmic!

We stayed there last Feb. I did not realize that there were any height restrictions on the slide. Our daughter was 4 at the time and she is tiny for her age. Was this a new policy? HOw big/old is your daughter? Did they allow them to go down with the life vest on? We are planning another trip in Nov. and I know that our daughter would not understand why she could no longer go down the slide.
Thanks for any info!

I don't know if it is a new policy. My dd is 3.5 and 36.5 inches. There was a lifeguard up at the top we didn't ask him about it, there was a sign but I don't remember the height, just she didn't make it.

We were also staying in CBR - Barbados at the same time as you. (may 11-18th)
We were in room 1313 which overlooked the pool.
I though the resort was lovely, although I agree it was a bit far to the food court, but not unreasonable. (Any further and I would have been upset)>

I think we must have had the same maid - we had little towel people, and my dd beanies were playig tic-tac0toe oe night, and ordering pizza another night - I thought it was brilliant.

I would only disagree on one point, we found the buses to be terrible, and gave up and drove after the 2nd day.
Were you affected by the smoke? I seem to remember it was worst on the 17th.

Bev

Thanks for a great report. Sounds like you guys had fun!

You did the trip that I am planning for either Feb. or Apr. next year. We will be staying at HRH and then CBR.

Do you have any suggestions where I should request to stay at CBR. I "hear" the refurbished ones are nice - although I don't know which ones are, or will be. The only thing I really need is no smoking (ds very allergic). My boys are 14 and 11 and are really looking forward to the trip.

Melissa,
When we were there I don't remember seeing a sign, so maybe this is a new policy. I am sorry that your daughter wasn't permitted to ride.

Well, we only did the Buses for magic kingdom EE and at night for epcot or MGM for the adults, so maybe we just got lucky.

The smoke was horrid one day and really bothered me. It didn't seem to even be noticed by other people maybe b/c I'm from "fresh air" Maine I noticed it more.

We were in 1339 so maybe we did have the same maid Lexi's pig was playing tic tac toe with Simba one day too. And one day watching toon Disney.

Someone asked where to request, I would say Martinique b/c of the closeness to the food court and main pool especially if you have younger kids. If it was Just me and DH I would go for Barbados again.
