Just back from Hilton head

Hi!
I just had to write a tiny bit about our trip.
We went to HHI for the first time 7/5-7/10 and stayed in a studio.
It was beautiful.
We loved the resort and the island and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
Very relaxing.

Thanks. We hope to go Fall 04. We tried VB this May and it was a first rate resort and very laid back.

We own 175pts at the VWL and 50 pts at the BCV-joined 2/2001.
I had a free airline ticket to use and the rate to Savannah was down to $348 for my husband.
I booked the studio on 12/31/2002, so a bit less than 7 months out. I basically asked if they had anything available in July or August. I did have to stay on a Saturday night, which we usually do not do with points, but it was still well worth it.

They did not have any availability for a studio any other time. They did have 1 and 2 bedrooms available for both months.

It is a beautiful resort and I would love to go back.

Enjoyed a relaxing stay. We had TWO - 2 bedroom units. I believe we were in building 24. It is the one near the pool right next to the playground.

It is so amazing to me how quiet this resort is even when filled. Nice to see some excitement going on at the pool on Wednesday night and also during the Welcome Home time on Sunday.

Just a few minor things - 3 lights out in one unit. Didn't really bother me too much as I never called. Missing door know on TV cabinet. A couple of items missing from kitchen inventory. No big deal. Units were both very clean.

However the ping pong table needs to be replaced and restocked. Looks shabby and there were paddles and 2 squashed balls to play with one day when we tried it. Bikes are being replaced with NON Mongoose bikes. Teen would not ride as they looked too dorky. (My bike said it was from Palmetto Bike Barn).

After 5th trip, finally made it to Hilton Head Ice Cream Company. Quick service and price was OK. Did first trip to Crazy Crab as recommended by Frommers - a little overpriced in my opinion.
