Just back from HHI-??

I have a couple!!! Never been to hhi before so excited! We have a 2 br is there anything I should bring extra? To make our stay easier? Space is not an issue we will be driving we want to cook in the villa so any extra kitchen stuff? (pans serving stuff etc) are the kitchens outfitted the same as the others in DW? We will have 6 adults can we fit an air mattress in the bedroom with the two queens? ( for my 19 yr old dd ) did you rent bikes? If so where? Sorry so many questions..,
Many thanks!
Dana

As far as extras, the only things we ever had missing were a cookie sheet and a pot holder. I don't know if they're usually there though. The only other thing I know is about bike rentals-you can rent bikes at the recreation window at the middle of the resort. We've never gotten a 2 BR, so I don't know anything about the second bedroom. I don't even know that the second bedroom has queen beds.

Thanks Bobbi! And congrats on your new HHI points!:wizard:

Thanks, they were a long time coming. Even when we had them, there was an issue of being charged a fee that needed to be sent back to us. Instead of the company just doing that, we had to write a letter reminding them of the fact. It was around $2-300 and we breathed a sigh of relief when it was all behind us.:goodvibes

One thing you might want to take would be a crockpot we took ours when we did SSR over New Years and it was great to have, another thing I like to use would be either an electric griddle or skillet just would depend on how much room you have and what meals you plan to make.

All the two bedroom units we've stayed in At HH have two queens in the second bedroom. The bedroom is huge!

We leave for HHI in 42 days. I'm living through trip reports right now. Thank you so much for the pictures. Did you notice any new activities while you were there? We go every other year and this is our Disney HH year. We look forward to the relaxation. I do miss WDW on the off year but nothing a week in a 2BR on an island won't cure.

How did you enjoy the Low Country boil at the resort? The only one I've ever had was at Uncle Bubbas, and I really really enjoyed it.

Now that it's over, would you and your DH stay in a studio at HHI again?

Bobbi

Low Country Boil is one of the easiest meals ever to prepare. If you can get shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob, and a good season pack (we recommend Savannah brand over Old Bay) you can make a boil.

The real trick is to get everything cooked. Search the web for some recipes that will tell you timing on when to boil what and you got it.

If you can get it, I recommned Roger Wood Lumberjack Sausage. It's the best!

This sounds perfect for a "gals weekend" in cape May! Swan/Dolphin had a crab mac and cheese dish as one of their recipes of the month and DSis makes it for about every other get together.....I wonder if we could start a new tradition...Jersey Corn...fresh shrimp from the Lobster House.OK...thanks for the suggestion. I'll look up the sausage to see if it's available either in NJ or Ohio, or if one of the gals can get it, we come from all around!:goodvibes

Bobbi- great suggestion on the crab mac & cheese- i googled & printed and will be making it for my cousin's upcoming baby shower (here, at my house) in May. She will LOVE it, I can tell just reading the recipe!! THANK-YOU!!! :thumbsup2

It is so good! There's a mac and cheese with seafood dish in Triton's on the Disney Wonder and we all ordered it, just once, because it's not any where as delicious as the one from the S/D! Enjoy!
