Just back from HH

Well my DW, DS and I just got back from our first DVC trip at HH. We stayed in a 1br in the Lodge. We had a great time. The weather was very hot and we spent lots of time at the pools and beach. We had some problems with our toilet. The maintenance staff was somewhat incompetent. We also had to ask for about 10 items that were suppose to be in the room. I don't know if that is normal or not. The resort is beautiful and well designed as you would suspect from Disney. I won't add on here but I can see staying here many times in the next 40 years.

We ate at the Old Oyster Factory and at Giusseppi's. Both were very good.

Now we are working on a trip to BCV in the fall and maybe a cruise.

Glad to hear that you had a good time at HH. I am curious to hear why you would not consider doing an add-on at HH, even though you said that you plan to vacation there many times.

I am currently on the waiting list for a HH add-on thinking this way I would have the 11-month window to go in the summer.

You said you stayed at a 1BR. Based on what I have heard, 1BR is harder to get than the 2BR due to the limited # of units. Did you have problem booking this?

Well I realized that I should have been booking my reservation day by day. So I was waitlisted for the first 2 days. It took about a month to get the waitlist to come through.

I guess I should just follow your way if I want to go next time in the summer.

I have enough points as is. Maybe I shouldn't get the HH add-on after all. Especially the points will cost $70 if they become available after June 30 (after MB's $10 discount).
