I have seen this quoted by several folks on this forum but I just received Chef Gordon's menu and pricing info directly from Chef Gordon and it states $150 for the first two people. Can anyone explain the discrepancy?

I think it's probably a "fixed costs" thing: it costs about $150 just to cover Gordon's time and the expenses of setting up the dinner. After that $50 per person covers it.

Trust me, even if you do only two people, it is worth the price! Gordon is very generous with the portions (and the wine!). The experience of having a private dinner in the beach house is priceless.

We're doing it again on our upcoming trip -- 4th time for DH and me; 2nd time for our teens!

Thanks for the info. I just sent an email to Chef Gordon to get some info from him.

Two more questions:
1) are there any grocery stores (preferably chain stores) on HHI?

2) we are getting a 2 br villa. Do they have DVD or VCR? Just need to know what type of movie to bring for toddler.

There are all kinds of grocery stores. Our favorite is Publix and there are two within an easy drive of the resort. There are also a couple of Harris Teeter stores, Piggly Wiggly (closest to the resort), Bi-Lo and even a Kroger (but it's pretty far away).

The 2BRs have VCRs. Last I heard there were no plans to change over to DVDs.

With all the WDW DVC resorts going to the VCR/DVD combo I find it disappointing that HH isn't doing so as well. Maybe down the road they'll catch up.
