We just returned from 3 short days at VB. What a great resort! I think it is my favorite and I've been to all but BCV. I think they have the best of all the resorts there - on the beach and restaurants (unlike HH - which I love). THere's the hotel feel as well as being able to drive up to your separate villa. Bell service or do it yourself. We had an ocean view inn room and other than the slight mildew smell - it was perfect. My parents had a garden view handicap room that was huge. It had a king size bed and sitting area.(and my father broke his toe while we were there - so the handicap room was somewhat warranted). The ocean view room was much larger than I expected and the view was amazing. The resort is so close to the ocean and the grounds are beautiful. The pool area is the best of all the resorts I think - at least with little ones. The pirate ship entertained them for hours literally - then with the playground and mini-golf right there - there was no leaving. The beach was beautiful even if it isn't wide. I loved the secluded feel to it. All the CM's were great. We ate at Shutter's twice and Sonya's for the seafood buffet - which was great. Went out to eat in Vero at Ellie's - it was very good/pricey - but a little too shwanky with the kids.
We didn't get out to do anything in the area - just stayed and enjoyed the resort. Definitely need more days next time. The pictures don't do it justice - it was much more beautiful than I pictured. I was drooling over the Beach cottages...
