I now have a new favorite resort. We had a water view room with the most beautiful view, a full balcony, and it was not too far from the elevators. I know that the rooms at the Polynesian are supposed to be bigger, but I swear our BWI room was huge. The only small complaint I had was with the maid service, which was not up to par some days. Overall, this resort was beautiful and we loved sitting on the balcony at night watching the action below. I think we will be returning to BWI for our October 2004 trip.

So glad you had such a good experience!! We're BIG fans of the Boardwalk area and plan on staying there in Oct, 2004 as well. Just can't decide - BWI, BWV, or BC/YC. Decisions, decisions!!

Isn't the BWI beautiful! I just love it there and walking around the boardwalk morning or night. We just returned from a trip that was split between the BWI and the CBR. I found myself daydreaming about going back to the BWI and then my friend from NJ called me and asked me to join her there in January for five days. You would think it has been a year since I was there. I never tire of WDW and the BWI holds a special place in my heart. Hurry back!

Love It Love It.........I even like it when I can't sleep and I can watch the workers down below on thw BW......Always something going on there::yes::

I am glad to hear you had a great experience at the BWI! I so want to stay there. We will be staying at BCV next month, and I am thinking we might have to try BWV or BWI for the trip that follows!

Micks--Don't forget the Swan/Dolphin. They are in the Epcot area--between Boardwalk and BC/YC. They offer some great rates. Still a deluxe hotel, even though not owned by Disney.

As much as I love the S/D, I'm hoping to rent points to stay at a BWV studio for our next trip. I'm just not sure how easy it is to rent points during the value season. I've read the DVC threads, and I kind of get the feeling that it's harder to rent during the times when it's less expensive.

The weather was pretty nice, especially since we came back to high of 47. During the day it would be between 68-75 degrees. We wore t-shirts most days, but a couple of days we needed long sleeve t-shirts. At night, it would get down to 48-55 degrees. When we stayed late for Candlelight Processional, Fantasmic, etc., it got pretty cold. We wore a fleece sweatshirt over our t-shirt, a jacket, and our Mickey Santa hat.

Sherri - I would say it's easy to rent points for the value season - perhaps even easier than the other seasons. We're going to BWV at the end of January, and all it took was a single posting.

And we're really looking forward to having the BWV as our base for our vacation - I've heard such great things about the place here in the forum, and the location is just perfect. Having stayed off site and on, the idea of just being able to walk over to Epcot and Disney-MGM Studios sounds perfect!

Sherri-
I second that post about the points. I had thought there would be no way we could rent points in August for our January trip. We found a terrific DISer who rented us her points and we were able to get BWV, standard view room to boot! I'm not saying it is guaranteed, but we took a shot and were able to do it.

We also has our choice of BWV & BCV for our time period. I think we initially had to be wait-listed for a couple of the days, but they opened up within 2 days. I wish you luck with point rental, it really is least expensive way to be at a deluxe, plus have the amenities of the DVC.
