First off we had a good time. I used Dreams Unlimited and I cannot say enough about Katie my TA. She was on the ball and just awesome! We stayed at the Residence Inn Anaheim Resort. It was AWESOME! The rooms were in great shape. The boys had bunk beds and LOVED them. The breakfast was great. There was tons of options. There is a shuttle you can take. It is, I want to say around $3 a day. The bus drivers were fantastic. Always on time, extremely helpful and friendly. The cast members were awesome. I only met 2 cast members who were not extremely friendly. Not rude, just normal. The lines were horrible. Almost everything was at least a 20 minute wait. If it was just my husband and myself, it would not have been too bad. With 3 small children it was a nightmare. I do have to give a shot out to random people in line. They helped entertain my kids and helped defuse fights when I was alone. I do not know your names, but I thank you greatly! I met so many wonderful families with older children who helped my husband and me out.
Best decision I made was booking a breakfast at the Plaza Inn. Normally I do not pay this much for breakfast, but I am so glad I did. There were 10 characters there. The only character we did not get to interact with was Captain Hook. There rest came by the table at least once. Tigger came over twice! My boys were thrilled. All the characters were so much fun and so good with my kids. My youngest wasn't too sure, so they stayed at a distance and let him reach for them.
Worst decision I made was leaving on Sunday. Normally it would have taken us 8 hours to drive there. It took us 13 hours!!!! With 3 small children, and a crabby husband, I wanted to smack somebody. Also tons of rude people out there. Very thankful to get there.
Hidden Gem: Pirates Lair! I have fought tooth and nail to not go over there. Since it will be closed for awhile, I decided to go. I wish I have gone over sooner. It was so much fun! Those bridges gave me a heart attack, but so wonderful watching my boys run around.
Biggest Surprise: Tomorrowland Terrace. Their salad was divine! It was one of the best things I ate the entire trip. The Darth by Chocolate was delicious! My boys shared the candy light saber and loved it!
Biggest Disappointment: 60th Anniversary sweatshirt options. I could not find one I wanted. Everything just seemed blah.
Biggest Expense: Starbucks. DANG YOU STARBUCKS! I am not in the mood to add up what I spent there, but it was a huge chunk of my food budget!
Best Meal: Cheesy enchilada soup at Jolly Holiday. It sounded good so I got it. It was wonderful!
So all in all it was a great trip. My boys are now asleep dreaming of Radiator Springs. My bank account is in recovery. I am now dreaming of a trip where I have no strollers and I am not changing diapers!
