Just Back from Disney!!!!

I just checked out your photos, JTimmons - some very nice ones in there, I especially like the night photos of Rock 'n' Rollercoaster. I don't think I've seen it at night before (it didn't help that it was closed all through my last trip! :( )

But someone's got to say it - please, please, please, for everyone's sake, please - please don't use your flash on Pirates of the Caribbean, or any dark ride! That can really ruin the ride for people around you.

You're used to Cape Coral but Orlando feels hot? :confused3 That's weird!

The last trip where we were in both places (Thanksgiving 2003), we were having lunch in Cape Coral and it was really hot, that evening we were watching Fantasmic wearing winter jackets and shivering! I figured that after living in CC for a while, your blood would thin away to almost nothing so you didn't feel heat any more. :)

I am back home now!!! After eight nights at WDW, it is actually a nice site to see. I love that place, but I am worn out!

You know, you would think that we would be used to the heat, and I was for the most part, but the DW and DDs were not. They are used to the A/C. I have been dealing with a car with no A/C since late last year, so that helped me. There is also a constant breeze at home, which helps. Another big difference is that we do not spend much time around that much concrete pathways at home.

I will get some sort of trip report and shots out, but not for a few days. There was some good, some bad, and some ugly. Unfortunately, most of my photography was somewhat rushed, but that did help teach me to react quicker. We just bought our APs last Friday though, so I should have plenty of chances to go back and take more pics. One of those trips is going to have to be soon after the HM re-opens!

I always try to respect everyone else around me when I am photographing, especially on the dark rides, but everyone else in my boat started flashing away, so I turned it on for those 3 pictures. Sorry if I offended anyone.

Being just back, I think WDW has temporarily given up on the no flash in Pirates with it being so popular. In the past I have heard them come over the loudspeaker to tell people to stop. When I was on it, there were flashes coming from everywhere. There were not any from my boat, so it really did not bother me. If there had been, I would have spoken up to tell them to stop.

I just got back too and didn't see a single flash on Pirates. However, no photography whatsoever was allowed in the Monster's Inc. comedy show. I wasn't paying super close attention but I never heard any photography announcements while waiting in line.

On a side note, I wasn't too impressed with the attraction. The animation didn't look convincing. Also, a young woman from Japan was selected to take part in a portion of the show. She didn't speak English but they kept asking her questions and wouldn't stop. The employee holding the microphone for her was no help at all. Sort of ruined the show for me.
