I have a question that maybe you can answer:

Does the Pepper Market accept Disney Dollars as a form of payment? I know they are privated owned and this is why I ask. I asked Buzz before but he didn't know the answer as he has never used disney dollars. I have saved up over 200 in disney dollars.

The great thing about WDW is that there are many hotels for different tastes. If you aren't happy at a resort you can always stay at another.

I will be taking my family down in Dec 12-26 and staying at CSR.
I have read all the post and I personally think it will be up to me if I like it or not.. If I get a CM that is having a bad day... or one that is having a great day I think it helps make your experience a good on or bad. I think it is all random luck.
I still take all the info so I am better prepared... ie. the restaurant think does not concern me as I can find another place to eat... but we will give it a shot. We have a similar concept here in Toronto call moven in pick. Very popular. If we don't like it we don't go back.

I guess I think back along time ago when my DGF now DW were travelling in Europe. We had a terrible experience in London.. I don't think I would go back personally. However I would not discourage people to go because of my experience maybe a word of caution.

This will be our first time staying at CSR.. curious to see how it compares for us with the other resorts we have been too. I do agree with the OP in that the pepper market prices seem higher than some other places, but the food also seems a step better than other places as well.. but maybe that's just me

Thanks for the pics Buzz .... the hotel looks very unique... I have been to CR,WL,Boardwalk. I think they are all different and unique that's why we all like different ones. I would say my favorite is boardwalk but the wife loved WL last year.

From the pictures, I would say the food looks a step above the food courts I have eaten at in the Value resorts, and at the counter service places in the parks. I am excited, I leave in 10 days for my stay at CSR. I am newly single and like the sight of a man in a suit, so I think I will love it!

I love the resort and would continue going there but I haven't been happy with the food court. Price doesn't matter, the stamp system and tip is fine as well. I just don't think their food is tasty. Maybe I keep going at a bad time, but I needed to put a lot of ketchup on my burger, the wok station meat always looked dried out (and I love chinese food!) and how can they mess up pasta sauce? I've tried the other food courts and I think it tastes better there. I really want to go back there but I just keep hoping the food court would get better.
I will probably try again in a couple of years and maybe try different foods, LOL.

My sis and I did a girls only trip a few years back at CSR. And it did not make a good impression on us either. We were placed in the Ranchero section, and it was just not to our taste. I like to have more greenery around me. Also, we felt like we were out in the boonies, and did not like having to hike to the Pepper Market or the pool. And every time we tried to use the hot tub, it was packed. Not to mention all the speedo wearing conventioneers! We did like the fact that the busses were not packed, so that is one good thing about all the convention goers, the busses are not as full!

Not every resort suits everybody. I love POR, and that is one resort that takes a beating on these boards! But you do not need to belittle somone just because they have different tastes then you. It is good that different people like different resorts, or else we would never be able to get a ressie!

I think the pp who mentioned they were shouted down when posting adverse opinions had his/her point proven over three pages multiple times. The info given on the CSR here has been the most valuable I've ever read, far more than the FAQ thread (all faq threads naturally trend to the positive, this is not an attack on the CSR one).

But, everytime something negative is said there's a big response that basically calls the judgement of the person's opinion, and often their common sense, into question.

News about the food court there, the fact there is more than one, the added expense at the one, the large portion of business people there, is all valid. Now, this should be fairly obvious, not everyone cares about the same thing. Everyone can take in the information and decide if its important to them, there's really no need to infer someone is wrong for not liking the convention crowd. Maybe that's important to them. Maybe 10% more at pepper market is worth it to you, but maybe others can't afford it or justify it.

Every resort has plusses and minuses, and it'd be very nice to hear both of them more often.
