Hi we just got back today (okay okay a few minutes ago) from the CR Garden Wing, we had a GREAT time!

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Hi LoriZH,
I noticed you responded to my overreacting thread, thanks. I wanted to know what the rooms were like? Did you have a long walk. Were you in the North or South Wing? And if you were in the smoking wing could you tell that it was smoking? I can't wait.
Christi

Hi Christie, first we were in the North Wing and we were VERY close to the Towers (second room in on the first floor) however, this was very very noisy, plus it was a handicap room (the bathroom didn't have a seperate area and my four year olds had a hard time reaching the toilet and the sink, and the metal bars in the bathtub were a hazard for little children). They did move us to a smoking room in the South Wing, but he did mention that there was another room in the South Wing that would be available in a few hours that was non smoking, but we just took the first one available (room 5360) because it was closer it was in the first part of the wing on the third floor, not really that far of a walk at all. Yes you could smell smoke very faintly when you first walked in, but we just aired it out and it was fine. We are not smokers and smoke does bother me, so if it was really bad I would have noticed. I would bring either a can of lysol or fabreeze with me and give the room a freshening up when you get there if you're worried about the smell. I personally liked the South Wing far better, now it could have been due to the room we were in at the North Wing, but it seems a lot quiter on the South Side of Town there, if you know what I mean, lol.

Anyway, the rooms were great, they are very large and roomy. They are very colorful and the bathrooms are great! So my suggestion is that if you are asking for either North or South close to the Tower, make sure you request on the 2nd or 3rd floor, 1st floor is just too noisy.

So glad to hear you had a great time...

What made the first floor rooms so "noisy"? People traffic. trucks? I requested ground floor and we have a standard room, now I am a bit worried? Did you have a patio outside the ground floor room?

We are going in Aug. and I can't wait. Thanks for the info!

I don't think the fact that it was a ground floor, I think it was more the location, we were the second room in from the main enterance (tower side) and most people entered from that entrance which made it impossible to sleep (obviously I am a light sleeper, lol) I even heard children out in the halls running at 12:48 AM and it woke me up. In the am of course everyone is all excited going to the parks and they are running and walking by making lots of noise (who can blame them!) It may be fine for other people, but the location just wasn't for me. We were right next to the middle elevator on the 3rd floor and didn't hear a thing. I would think that a ground floor facing the pool area may be a lot more quiet in the AM.

You're going to love this hotel, I'm sure of that! Oh and they switched the bus service so that it no longer splits with TTC, it's with the Poly and GF, but the good news is this, they pick you up first and at the end of the day, they drop you off first!

HAVE FUN!

I was wondering what the pools are like. I have three young children. The pool area is always a big consideration.

The pools are very nice, they are not themed like most of the pools in disney, well actually they are "contemporary" themed, lol! okay that was a BAD joke :D There is a big pool with a slide and a fountain (there is a hot tub in the middle) and then there is the "quiet" pool which is not too far away and it's just a big round pool. They're very nice and my kids love the pools here, sure they liked the one at the Dolphin better, but they are generally satisfied as long as there is a pool to swim in!
