Just back from CBR

This was our first trip to WDW and I cannot get over what a great resort CBR is!

I had requested Martinique 25 and got it. Room 2542. I was concerned about the standard view I had booked, as I didn't want to look at asphalt all week, but I had nothing to fear. The landscaping is so lush and beautiful that there was no sign of a road or parking lot anywhere.

The room was so clean and looked new. No stale odors or any other signs of previous guests.

There were ducks everywhere! It was so much fun watching the mothers and babies walking all in a row. My 15 yo DD had a lot of fun with them.

We also saw rabbits and, on our last day, a fairly large turtle on the sidewalk! I just hope he made it back to the water. I've been worried about him ever since.

The food court was close-by and very handy. We loved the breakfast platters. I ended up buying two of the mugs, even though I swore I wouldn't. We used them quite a bit more than I thought we would.

The kids, 15 and 12, used the pool only once during our stay. They thought it was great, though.

The resort was so quiet. No noise from other rooms or from the pool area.

All in all, I have nothing but praise for CBR. Everything was perfect! DH says we're staying there again next year for sure!

Don't worry... if he gets near the road, the bus drivers call it in, and pest control returns him to his natural habitat... Never do it yourself... lots of snapping turtles around...

Thats so great that you loved your first WDW resort. I like the theming of CBR but cant stay there as we have 5 in our family.

We stayed there 3 years ago and loved it. I really like resorts that enter/exit right outside,no elevators or long hallways to walk.
Plus,the grounds are so lush. We loved it and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Just booked the FTP for the CBR. Is there a certain area I should request??? From looking at the info it is a big place.

All of the villages are great. If you want to be close to the food court and main pool ask for rooms in Martinique or Trinidad North.

They are all quiet but if you want to feel away from everyone then try Jamaica or Aruba.

The only really long walk is from Trinidad South.

im not sure if i have asked this here or not, but i have room only for 9 nts aug at all star movies. ;im trying to get a 2nd room for dd14, and her friend. I was thinking we would like to try CBR for a change (stay at all stars, last 4 -5 times) but it is alot more $$$$$, esp. if i get 2 rooms. So should we try cbr or just stay and get the 2 rooms at asm. Thanks alot.

The rooms at CBR are bigger than AS. You may find that you don't need two rooms unless you want the privacy.

Is there 4 of you going? You won't have a problem with the room at CBR.

They are both great places and you will have a great time at either.

There is more for them to do at CBR. Good luck on your choice.
