We were at WDW from Jan 21 through Jan 31 and did a split stay - first five nights at BWI and last five at Poly.

The BWI is a really great resort. We stayed in room 3221 which is a water view room (it is right above the Boardwalk arcade). The room is large enough (larger than WL or AKL standard rooms but smaller than Poly of GF). We had great view of the Boardwalk and Crescent Bay. Could not see Epcot. The room was a long walk from the elevator, but this really did not matter to us. The best part is the proximity to Epoct and MGM. We walked to both parks and spent the most of the first five days of our trip at these two parks (did spend one day at AK and then the night at Epoct).

Cannot emphasize enough how great it was to be able to walk to two parks. We had ou two DD's (4 and 2) and could readily go back to the room or simply leave the park at night when the two got tired.

Our room was nicely decorated and very clean. The balcony was a nice place to sit - even though it was rather cold when we visited. Were not able to swim - too cold - but the pool looked great. Ate breakfast at Boardwalk Bakery every morning (nothing great but very convenient).

Did use the boat transport back from MGM - although Boardwalk is a later stop on the trip, we simply got off at the Swan/Dolphin and walked the short distance to BWI.

BWI seems quieter than BC or YC - fewer kids and more of a convention resort. Did not have any noise problems from the Boardwalk in our room (although after pushing a double stroller around all day, I could have slept through anything).

Would highly recommend this resort.

Spent the last half of our stay at the Poly. Had a lagoon view room in Tahiti (room 1016). The room was very clean and quite large. Had a great view of the castle and Space Mountain. I love this resort since it is so spread out and very quiet at night. Was really nice that we could walk to our car so quickly since we drove alot more during this part of our trip (went to Sea World, AK, AKL, etc.).

This is a also a great resort for the proximity to monorail and the Tahiti longhouse is very close to the TTC - it was often quicker to take the ferry to the MK. Again, this resort is great for kids because can get back and forth quickly from the MK.

Maid service for each resort was great - rooms were always clean. Will definitely stay at these again in the future.

I'm glad to see you didn't mind a long walk to the elevator. I for one WANT a room far away from the elevator.

I find it a little annoying listening to people walking past your room at all hours of the day if you are too close to the elevator
