and it is beautiful!!! We rented points from a DIS'er and the process could not have been easier. We rented a bay lake studio for our family of 4 (including magical express and the dining plan).
Here are some highlights:
1. On-line check-in: Very quick! We arrived about 11:00 am. Our room was not ready but we were given a number to call later in the day. Our packet and keys were all ready to go. We headed to MK and called about 2:30. Our room was ready, AND we received everything I had requested!
We wanted a studio in the north tower, on a high floor, ending in an even number.
2. The Room: We were assigned room 8014. This is a handicap accessible room so we did not have the problem of the kitchen and bathroom sink being across from each other. The bathroom had a shower/tub combo as well as a separate accessible shower and a sink. The view was to die for!! We could see the castle and space mountain as well as Bay Lake. We could watch the fireworks from our room which was a great option on the nights we were tired and did not want to stay in the parks. We actually spent a fair amount of time on our balcony because the view is so amazing.
3. Location: Can't be beat. The walkway to MK is worth the money alone. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to the CR tower to catch the monorail depending how fast we would walk and how long we had to wait for an elevator. It was a long walk to refill our mugs. For us, this was not a deal breaker.
4. Transportation: We used the walking path to MK many times as well as the monorail. However, switching monorail lines to get to Epcot was a pain, and would take longer than we expected. Catching a bus to another resort was very easy. We would walk to MK and jump on a resort bus there. This made it easy to get to our ADR's at other resorts. We did not like sharing buses with the other deluxes. It seemed to take a long time with all of the stops. Disney transportation has it's pros and cons no matter where you stay.
5. That Disney Feel: I know a lot of people think that BLT does not have that "Disney" feel. We felt like this was more Disney than some of the moderates we have stayed at. The view from the hallways and by the elevators is truly spectacular. How can you not feel like you are in Disney when you are looking at a castle waiting for an elevator. The artwork in the hallways was beautiful and I wish they sold prints of the art. Everywhere you look you see Disney - the monorail, the castle, space mountain, the GF, the CR tower, ferry boats, electric light parade, and on and on...
Overall the resort is gorgeous. We loved every minute of our stay there and hope to stay there again.
