Well, we just returned home last night. :(
9/11-9/18

Our (DH, myself, DS and DH's sister) first trip to BCV. DH and my first trip home. We had a fantasmic time.

We have stayed at OKW studio, BWV studio and WL studio on rented points before. This time was BCV 2 bedroom! On our own points. Awesome!! A friend and fellow DVC member said once you have stayed in a 2 bedroom you will never go back to a studio. Well, I will have to say they were right.

First our requests-Non smoking, dedicated and Epcot view.
What we recieved-Non smoking, dedicated and villa pool view.
Our room was not ready until 4 pm. We arrived at 11 am. We were a little put off at first but hey, we were at WDW and on vacation. We got over it. Again we were put off that we did not get the Epcot view. But again who cares, we were at WDW. I tend to be an optimist and don't let the little things bug me. And believe me view and the wait were little things, especially compared to what those who were affected by the hurricanes had to deal with.

Our room was OUTSTANDING! Immaculate, everything in working order and as far as we could tell everything was there that was suppose to be there.

To me the parks were empty up until Wed afternoon. Then it seemed to pick up. Still very managable. Our longest wait was for Test Track 20 min.

We have been going to WDW at least once if not twice or three times a year since 1991. But this trip seemed more special (if that is possible) More then likely because of being a DVC member.

This was a week of firsts for us. First time on points, first time in 2 bedroom and first time to eat in some different resturants. We tend to get into a rut and eat at the same places. So we decided to break out of the rut and try some new. We tried and loved Cape May Cafe, Garden Grille. Just to name 2. We wondered why we never tried them before. We WILL go back to both.

Now I just need to be able to start planning our next trip!

Glad to hear you had a great time!! It is nice to hear good reports of BCV as well!!!!

I am always glad to hear a good report about my home BCV!!!! We love trying new places to eat on every trip, glad you had a good time! Aren't the 2 bedroom units fabulous??? Lacee

Thank you for your report...I love the BCV 2 bedroom villas too. I actually prefer the pool view...it is so pretty at night. Sandie

Awesome! Thanks for the happy report!

I agree with you about getting in a rut. Last couple trips we've been trying to do new things. We just always ate at the same places.

Glad you had a great trip. Our favorite is the pool view too and I have no doubt that the next time we request it, we will get a great view of EPCOT.;)

Have fun planning that next trip.

We just got back from 9 days at the BCV and I agree about the crowds. That's why I like going in Sept.

We had an Epcot view, but I think for our family trip in Oct 05 when 17 of us are going, I'd like a ground floor pool view. DD loved the quiet pool and I would be nice to just walk out and "be there" . I hope I can get a 2 bedroom with a quiet pool view at the 7 month window!

Thanks for the report but are you sure we're talking about the same BCV? The ones over by Epcot right? The reason I ask is because there's no mention of thoughtless CMs or catastrophic problems.

I guess a positive Beach Club experience is possible but it just doesn't fit with the conventional wisdom of the moment.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay.
Keep in mind that only 10-15% of the rooms at BCV have an Epcot view. (I'm not counting the lower floors.) So while you have a reasonably good chance of getting this request, sometimes you won't. Try again next time; it's worth asking for!

Maybe someone should set up a "swap meet" in the lobby where people who wanted pool view and got Epcot can switch with those who got the opposite.
