Just got back and wanted to report everything at BCV was good, real good! The weather was beautiful. The units, studio and a two bedroom, were clean and I didn't notice anything, except the windows in the bedroom, to be dirty. The water pressure did seem weaker than the pressure last summer. The toliet didn't flush very well so I called to report it before it became a problem for us or someone else. All the cast members were polite, the pool was warm(SAB wasn't as warm), decorations were pretty, bus service was good ...on and on... We had a great time! The parks were busier than I have ever seen them and we usually go in the summer around July 4th. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom were closed by the afternoon a few days to everyone except resort guest. We saw many, many cars being turned around after they went through the gate at MK and not allowed into the parking lot. On New Year's Eve we were in Epcot. I couldn't believe how crowded it was. Going past Japan was almost impassable. But the fireworks display after Illuminations was the best fireworks show I have ever seen. We were proud owners! ;);)

Glad you enjoyed your trip...we were at the BCV earlier in Dec. All the decorations were in place - gorgous - but we didn't have any crowds. The weather was a littler cool (upper 60's to mid 70's. Great weather for touring the parks. It seems to be an ideal time to go. Sandie

Thanks for posting, wish I could have been there, but your description brought me "home".

Welcome back, caskar, and thanks for the report. It sounds like you had a wonderful time. Usually, I think Epcot is one of the better choices for New Year's Eve, but according to what I've read, the crowds there were unbelievable this year. I wonder why.

293 days and counting . . . again!

I can think of a possible reason for the crowds. When I was there in December, talking to a couple CMs, they said that after 9/11 attendance really dropped dramatically. They have just recently seen a big increase in attendance and are guessing that a lot of people are "making up for lost time", taking trips that they postponed after 9/11. Hey, sounds good-as a Disney stockholder I was thrilled that Disney stock recently had a new 52 week high!

Hi,

Thanks for sharing!!!!! Glad you had a good time!!

Glad to hear the trip was good!

DH and I have given up on trying to figure out when it's crowded, when it's not. We have been in January, April, July, August, October, and December (before and during xmas). Bar none, the least crowded time was January (Jan. 2nd to 10th). The crowds were indeed low right before xmas, but man, as soon as Dec. 25th came, it was wall-to-wall humanity! Dreadfully packed -- couldn't MOVE down Main Street, even Epcot was a sea of bodies. April and July -- very crowded. So our favorite time has really become August, despite the heat (it makes the pools and water parks that much more enjoyable, I guess!) But I do confess.... I love those holiday decorations and that Disney-festive feeling!

Again, glad you enjoyed it!

So glad to hear you had a good trip, we were there and it sounds like we may have even been at the same places. It was my first time to BCV, LOVE the location. You can't beat that walk to EPCOT and MGM. Ditto about the fireworks.:D

Glad to hear that you had a good trip! And as a BCV owner, I am happy to hear that everything was top notch!
