.... NO WATER PRESSURE in the shower. Why did they bother wasting money on Waterpik Massager heads when I can spit harder then they pulsed. And if they think they are saving water, they're wrong. It took twice as long to rinse the soap off. I guess my DW's complaint is just a continuation of mine- water NOT HOT ENOUGH. The temp was ok for me,but she likes to raise blisters on her skin when she showers,(and I guess that's normal for women as others at the spa were saying the same thing).

Other then that the resort was great. Room, (studio) was clean & looked great. Big o'l commercial type Mr Coffee pot. We liked the shelves on the side of the tv stand/dresser. DW loved the shelf below the mirror at the bathroom sink. The hair dryer has what I assume is a nite lite, (unless it's just an indicator that the HD is plugged in) which is a nice touch.

I wasn't crazy about the room doors- they looked like something you'd see in an English church.

BCV has the best elevators I've ever been in. Extremely fast, but you don't get that roller coaster affect in your stomach. Very smooth.

Having our own 'gator & snapper turtles is kinda cool.

Oh, got up Thursday morning & it was Christmas at BCV and BC. We were the first resort done. Added a great touch.

Can't wait till we go back in Oct. Any questions,I'll try to answer.

Thanks for your post. Everyone seems to complain about the water pressure. Did you say anything to BCV management?

Did they have any BCV merchandise when you were there? It appears there is a lot left over for the 10th anniversary but not a lot of new stuff. Annmarie

You know, I completely forgot about the water pressure when I answered the survey. I wish I had remembered because I also didn't like the fact that it took me forever to "unsoap". The water pressure and just too many bathroom doors were my two pet peeves with BCV. If you get the survey, maybe you could mention it.

I can't wait for the survey, it will definitely be mentioned. Also, know what you mean about the bathroom doors.I think the closet should have sliders rather then folding. With bathroom & closet doors open, you create an annoying maze.

I've complained about this before, I like long relaxing showers while on vacation. It's a whole decadence thing. The pressure at VWL is a loser too. Are all the WDW DVC's like this?? I know the resorts aren't. The Poly was great last time we were there...a real waterfall.

DVC gives you this giant shower stall that's is big enough for two, but there's so little water, you can't even get the stall temp to warm up. It's real romantic fighting over the dribble of hot water...one person can freeze while the other person is mildly chilled.

I hate the feeling of being sprinkled by a little cupid tinkle fountain:eek:

I just came back from a stay at the BWV and I can say without a doubt that the water pressure was over the top! I can't remember when I had a better shower at any hotel or resort I've stayed at in recent years. I had room 2010. Maybe I was just lucky. I've heard that some hotels, usually high rises, have boosters that help as the water travels up the building. I don't know if Disney does this since the majority of the buildings are low rise. Maybe we just got lucky! Who knows!

we just got back from VWL and had perfectly good water pressure as well. I was actually looking out for it, and low water pressure is a personal pet peeve of mine. We were on the second floor, do you think that it depends on where in the resort you are?

I agree the water pressure from the showers really sucked -- but the water pressure in the tub was unbelieveable. In fact, I stopped taking a shower. I just knelt down in the tub and washed my hear under the faucet. Actually, I could bathe in the tub and be done and clean in under 4 minutes. Once when I had more time, I let it fill and had a nice soaking jacuzzi. and the water was plenty hot for me!

All they need to do is to take the reducers out of the waterpiks.

At least the water was okay - I remember staying at AKL in March and I couldn't even use the tap water to brush my teeth, it was that bad.

I keep hearing about this low water pressure. We were there for just a couple nites in October and had no complaints about the pressure. I was aware of the issure prior to our trip so it was on my mind.

I'll admit, it wasn't the kind of pressure that would powerwash a deck, however, it was more than adequate for a shower. :)

I would again remind those with small children to CLOSE the toilet lid prior to flushing or they might be gonners!

When we stayed at BCV July 1-6, we were in room 136 and the water pressure was good. I'm surprised to hear how bad the pressure was for others.

We love those toilets so much we put a power assist toilet in our powder room about a month ago because we were plagued with clogged toilets. We have not had to plunge a toilet since upstairs or down! :teeth:

On our last stay in Boardwalk our shower pressure was awful. We called maintenance and they cleaned out the shower head. There was alot of 'stuff' accumulated there! The pressure was great after that.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that many times water pressure is linked to the time of day that you are taking your shower. If everyone is showering at the same time, then there is much less water pressure (like those morning hours from 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.).

I'm sure the water pressure also depends on what floor you're on - especially for the "low-rise" buildings. The lower the better, the higher the less pressure.

I live on the fifth floor of a five story building and my water pressure is the pits! However, the water pressure on the first and second floors seem fine.

Also, those low flow "thingys" in the shower heads and sink faucets are mandatory in some places for new construction and major renovations - not sure what the regulations are in Florida.

In NYC, not even talking about new construction/renovations, retro-fitting existing shower heads and faucets to low flow are required to qualify for certain tax abatement/exemption programs, rebates for water metering charges, government loans and aids, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was mandatory for Disney to install those low flow gadgets even though the water pressure was already low. Either it was required for new construction or to qualify for some tax savings (which would be passed along in our dues?)

We were on 3rd floor, took showers in AM and PM,zero difference. If WDW was required to put a water restrictor in,then they shouldn't have used a standard shower head. They make heads for low volumn systems which give a very tight, high pressure spray-sort of like holding your thumb over the end of the garden hose. WDW didn't actually drop the water pressure, they reduced the volumn of flow. Low flow thru big shower head holes results in what looks like low pressure.Someone mentioned how fast the tub fills up- if they had dropped the pressure then the tub would fill slow also.

We had a 4th floor room at VWL that had okay water pressure.....not what we sometimes have at home (ours seems to vary.....) but not a pixie fountain either. I have had trouble from time to time getting a good hot shower at WDW...but I usually assumed that was because everyone else wanted a hot shower at the same time. I think to some degree they don't have a lot of control over this.

And buildup in the shower head could have a lot to do with it too.....I'll have to try to clean it out if we ever get bad pressure (or call maintenance).

Thanks for the toilet tip....we'll probably be bringing the small potty for our 2yo for a while!
