DH and I spent 3 nights at the ASMusic resort Thurs-sun. And we just wanted to post a little something POSITIVE about the resort...

DH loved the beds!!! He says that they are the most comfortable beds in ANY resort ANYwhere in the world EVER..lol :confused3

I thought that the pillows were great! :flower:

We were in the Rock n Roll section, Building 3...First Floor....hardly any outside traffic noise....we did hear the toilets flushing, but it really wasnt all that bad....it was towards the morning when we were getting up anyways...

The room was clean, really cant complain there.

my only real complaint was that the front desk people werent really all that nice and helpful....
I wish that the cafeteria, gift shop or pizza delivery would be open later....

we did have the pizza delivered...it was ok...not the best and not the worst either...just dont get extra cheese...lol...wasnt cooked enough!
We did have a car so Disney transit wasnt an issue, but by the looks of the busses...they were CROWDED!!!!! :earseek:

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We've stayed at ASM twice. I agree with you. The AS resorts are fine if you don't mind crowds. I didn't really mind the crowded buses that much but we did have a car to use also. The only thing I"d warn people about is the food court. GET THERE EARLY! If you don't get there before 8 AM, forget it. There's a line just to get in to get your food.

Thanks for your report. We don't hear many reviews about this resort.

I'm headed there soon so I was glad you were not dissappointed. Did you request for a specific building? Did the resort seem pretty full? Finally did you get your room at check-in?

Sorry for the questions LOL

Could you please tell me if they are preparing grilled flatbread "thingies" in the food court now (like they are in Pop)?
We have only stayed there once, but I had the same comment then abotu teh front desk staff. We had a guy at checkin with NO personality and a VERY mealy, dry sense of humor (what little there was.) It was the middle of teh day, there were no crowds, yet he was not enaging at all.

We were thinking of a fall trip there. I was wondering if it was still open due to the lack of threads about ASMu. Anyone know what the smoking and non-smoking buildings are?

We didnt request a building cuz it was just DH and I and quite frankly i didnt care...now in Sept. we requested TOY STORY...we'll see...i'll be faxing the front desk 4 days out..lol

the resort really didnt seem full...i was commenting that to my DH....he said that we woke up too late and went to bed too late to see any of the kids..lol
I did see some crowds waiting for the busses...and every bus i saw was packed.

We finally got checked in after 4, but I called when we landed and they said that the room was ready. We got there and the computers were down...the nasty lady said that it was Disney wide...we went to the boardwalk for lunch at ESPN (the nachos were great btw) and the boardwalk didnt have a problem with the computers...anyways, we had to stand in the longggggggggg line every time...that got annoying. I'm sure this is not exclusive to the VALUE resorts....whatever....that was a minor complaint. :flower:

we never even made it to the food court...they closed at 11 and we were still out.. :earseek:

I stayed at ASMu on my trip with DGDs last November. We are early risers and always found the food court empty early in the morning - we were usually right there when it opened for the day. We usually ate lunch and dinner in the parks, so can't comment on other times of the day. We had a first floor room at the end of the row right near the parking lot. Perfect for us because we rented a car and could practically drive to our door! We never heard anyone at all...totally quiet at all times. My only complaint was mousekeeping. It was the absolute worst I have ever seen at ANY hotel! Our "maid" was a middle-aged man and he didn't have a clue what he was doing. He couldn't even make a bed! And he never vaccuumed or cleaned the bathroom. Rather than complain, we just cleaned up after ourselves - let the carpeting go, and decided not to tip him a dime.

We stayed at Movies last fall, but we used the Music bus several times because it was less crowded and less of a wait time at park closing. Anyway, when we walked through the main building at Music, the food court never seemed busy at all, neither was the pool bar; unlike Movies, which was crowded when we went through there at the same time.

MOUSEKEEPING was OK...the room wasnt the cleanest...but ok...
If it would have been that bad i would have called...
the sink was stopped up and we called, it was fixed when we got back...the white residual was still there the next day after mousekeeping was in...oh well...that's why they didnt get a dime from me. :rolleyes1
