Just back from AKV and WOW!!

We just got back from a quick getaway weekend to AKV in a 1BR Savanna view. Wow is all we can say. We did get a sneak peek into a GV in Jambo House while Mousekeeping was cleaning one. That alone makes AKV a great buy if you often stay in GV's and need the 11 mo booking window. It has a pool table in it! Along with 5 flat screen tv's (one of which is in the master bath in line with the tub), 3 bedrooms, 4 baths, and 3 half-moon shaped balconies that overlook the savanna. Incredible and unbelievable were being uttered from our mouths as we checked out the GV. I have some quick photos that I snapped when I was in there and I'll post one I'm able to figure out what is up with my account and posting pics. At any rate, AKV is a sign of how DVC just keeps getting better and better. Oh, the GV that we were in was one floor like those at BWV but it seemed a bit larger. I believe the latest planner shows them as 2 stories like those at SSR except with an additional seating area upstairs. We will definitely try to stay there again in the future.

We Stayed There Back In October Also In A 1 Bedroom And Loved It Too. They Were Defiently Very Spacious, I Can't Wait Until The New Pool

All of the GVs in Jambo House are all on one floor. The GVs in Kidani will be two stories with a sitting area.

AKV will have a total of 22 GVs, 6 in Jambo House and 16 in Kidani Village.

AKL is a hotel not a DVC resort so it doesn't have GVs. It does have a few suites but I don't know how many.

We jsut got back as well....a 1 bdr SV on Kudu Trail...amazing!!! Fell in love with AKV!

Steve Harvey and his family stayed in a grand villa last month.

He has a contest each year. He takes 100 kids (and one escort) down to WDW during MLK Jr. weekend.
