This was our first time staying in a Deluxe resort. We were in room 3411, savannah view, Zebra trail, Arusha savannah. At first they asigned us to the Kudu trail. I asked which savannah that was overlooking, the CM wasn't sure so she called over a manager, he asked where I wanted to be and I mentioned that I would love to be on the Zebra & Arusha, and that is how we ended up with room 3411 :) My kids were pleasantly surprised to see bunk-beds when we walked in!! (I only had savannah view booked). Anyway, our room was very convenient! It was the 3rd door on the left when you go down the hall from the lobby. The view was good (I will share pictures soon). If I really wanted to get picky and could choose my own room, I would have rather been a little more down the hall, away from the rock. I mentioned in another thread that the construction was not an issue for us at all. I heard no noise or couldn't see anything from our room. We walked around a lot and where you don't want to be is the Sunset savannah. That has construction viewing ;) The black draping previously seen on the upper floors from the lobby is now down :thumbsup2 Loved our stay, but I must say I was surprised at the size of the room. I thought it would have been a little bigger. Oh well! I want to go back

Thanks for the review! Did you eat at the Mara? If so, how was it?

We just got back too from AKl with a Savannah view on the Kudu trail. We were in 4211, and like you, a few more rooms down the hall would have been ideal, but , still no complaints about the view. The room was the 2nd or 3rd down the hall so you were still close to the lobby.
I had heard "bad" reviews of the Kudu trail side for no animals, but there was always a fair number of different animals we could see throughout the day off of our balcony. Here's a few pics from our room...

We did eat at the Mara a couple of times. My dh had the roasted chicken twice. He liked it. I tried it and I also thought it was tasty. I ate a cheeseburger there that was fine and breakfast foods were good too.

Great pics PBX!! We probably saw you there. You are quick to get your pics on. I just put mine on the computer, but need to work on getting them on to share. 4:00 was one of the feeding times that we noticed, so plenty of animals to be seen then.

A view from our room..lets see if this works..it has been a long time since I have put pics on here. I want her job! ;)

Glad you liked AKL. We stayed there for the first time this year and loved it. We were a few doors down from you, in 3427, but we also would like to have been a few rooms down the hall more. We were in the second building from the lobby, and I think the third building would have been perfect. We also didn't care too much for Mara's food, but loved Boma.
