We had a great time. We went 9/28 - 10/5. There always seemed to be a lot of people at the parks, but there were hardly any wait times, so i'm not sure what everyone was doing :confused3:. We pretty much walked onto everything with the exception of Toy Story Mania. We went to MNSSHP and we had a blast! It was very very crowded though but we worked it out. We stayed at Pop and liked it. Our room was far from the hotel lobby/bus stop but it was not facing the pool and very quiet. No complaint about the disneyu transportation, we never waited more than 10 minute for a bus, except for one night. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Did you have the dining plan?

Sounds like you had a good time. :goodvibes
Were you able to keep cool during the heatwave?

Did you have the dining plan?

Yes we got in on the free dining plan. We had no problems with it because we had made our ADR's 90 days in advance. We at at cape may cafe, ohana, boma, akershus, kona cafe, and crystal palace. We liked all the food but our favorite was Kona, followed by boma and ohana. The only issue was that if you don't make adr's way in advance you won't find anything. We accidently missed one our out adr's at whispering canyon and tried to find another TS for the entire week and couldn't find anything. We also discussed probably not get the ddp on our next trip or at least not with TS. We found it slightly annoying to have to plan your day around restaurants. With CS you can just go when your hungry. For CS's we ate at cosmic rays, backlot express, around the world at the food and wine festival, wolfgang puck express (delish), pop food court (loved everything we had), and flametree barbecue.

You know it was only extremely hot and humid on our first day there. But it was Magic Kingdom and you balance out your inside and your outside attractions and you don't feel it as badly. We also had water mister fans which were God sends. Also we found this hug like 120oz mug thing at the rainforest cafe for $15 and we'd fill it with ice from the hotel in the morning and a bottle or two of water and it would last us all day. Nothing better! The rest of the week was hot, like 85 ish but not humid which is tolerable for me. We did not need pants or jackets.

Which night did you attend MNSSHP?

Thursday, oct. 2nd. It was super crowded. More crowded then the park was during the day on tues. But it was fantastic. No lines for rides and we did hit a couple of rides, pretty much all the fantasyland rides were walk right on. We did both dance parties and they were GREAT the kids had a blast and so did we. We hit up a lot of the trick or treat stations. We watched the fireworks on the bridge to tomorrowland and they were wonderful and we got seats for the 2nd parade right after the fireworks over in frontierland and the parade was GREAT. We got in line for snowwhite and the dwarfs 45 minutes before she got there and had to wait about 20 minutes. But one kid and one parent would hold our spot in line and the other kid and parent would go on a ride, so it wasn't bad. Everyone was doing it and no one had a problem, you can only take one picture with them anyway so you aren't causing more of a wait. We also got a picture with my dd and cinderella's carriage, the wait for that was long, probably 30 minutes. We stayed until closing and it was great.

we must have been in different parts of Florida this week, then .. it was miserably hot Oct 3-5, much worse than September 30-Oct 2. The heat index was in the 105-110 range. We did the same as you, going to inside attractions, staying out of the sun, and drinking lots of water .. but it was HOT this week.

We were there the same time....I was totally amazed at line times....there were none!!! The park seemed crowded when walking in, but then you would go to the ride and walk right on! Loved it. The weather was great...yes it got hot in early afternoon a couple of the days we were there, but it was manageable, and I think that was because there were no lines for the rides, so we were constantly getting back to a/c.
