Hello there everyone. My wife and I just got back late Monday night from 8 nights at the Wilderness Lodge. We used the meal plan which seemed to suffer from mistakes on our visit. Not the plan itself, but the credit system. We loved the plan and thought it was great.

We ended up using all of the TS and Snack credits. We had 4 Counter Service credits left at the end. (we also spent money out of pocket at Universal and Islands of Adventure - Margarittaville and Mythos, both very good)

The mistakes were being charged only 1 credit each at 2 credit restaurants. This happened twice. We weren't sure if it was a 'paper only' mistake, and at the end, when we went to use the extra credits, we mentioned it to the server. We told her that we thought we had used all of the TS credit, but the receipt said we still had some. She ran the card and it worked fine. She also said it happens all the time.

Here is our review (I still haven't totaled the receipts, but I'm sure we saved $100's). We had ADR's for most places, altough we seemed to show up early for all of them. We were usually seated right away or after a 5 - 10 minute wait. We used the snack credits throughout the trip, mostly on bottled waters. At $2 a pop, it was nice to be able to grab a water whenever we needed one.

Sunday Dec 11
Landed 4:00 pm. Using magical express, we were in our room at 5:30. Dinner at Citricos (only charged 2 credits for the 2 of us). Very good, although my wife thought the fish was a bit bland.

Monday Dec 12
CS Lunch at Pecos Bill. (good)
TS Dinner at Ohanna. ADR at 7:00, arrived at 6:15. Seated at 6:25. (great - one of our favorites - Got a table next to the window, not too far from the grill.)

Tuesday Dec 13
TS Lunch at LeCellier ADR at 12:50. Best meal. Non ADR's turned away (grumbling and cursing)
TS Dinner at California Grill. ADR at 7:30. (Left Epcot at 6:30 (had to use our fast pass for Soarin), took bus back to room at WL, changed and took taxi to Contemp. Arrived exactly at 7:30. Requested a window seat and were seated immediately. Very good meal. We were also charged only 1 credit each. Watched the fireworks and took the boat back to WL. Very nice evening.

Wednesday Dec 14
CS Lunch at Pizzafari
TS Dinner at Boma. ADR at 7:10. Arrived 5:00. Seated 5:15. Good, but not as good as I had hoped.

Thurs Dec 15
CS Lunch at ABC Commisary
TS Dinner at Rest. Marrakesh. ADR 7:30. Arrived 6:30. Seated immediately, Also good, but not as good as I had hoped.

Friday Dec 16
(Universal's Islands of Adventure day - No dining plan that day)
Lunch at Mythos
Dinner at Margarittaville
Both very good.

Sat Dec 17
Universal Studios
Lunch at Flannagans Pub (good)
CS Dinner at WL at Roaring Forks snacks (Burgers: Good, while we watched my Broncos beat the Bills)

Sunday Dec 18
TS Lunch at LeCellier. Called Saturday to make another ADR since we liked it so much. ADR for 12:50. Arrive at 12:00. seated immediately
Dinner at Bongos. Good, but not as good as we remembered it.

Monday Dec 19.
TS Lunch at Concourse Steakhouse. We tried the Grand Floridian Cafe at 1:00pm, but were told the wait was 1 hour (we noticed a big crowd increase this day). We rode the Monorail to the Contemporary and ate at the Concourse Steakhouse. No wait.

Left the park at 5:00. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the meal plan to anyone. (Just make sure you set us a few ADR's - In our case, they were very flexible with the times (but it wasn't very crowded))

Wow, then you really got more bang for your buck if they only charged you one credit instead of 2. :)

I agree about Boma, good but not what I would have hoped either.

You know I read a review on here a few days ago where the same thing kept happening. They twice were only charged 1 credit for 2 credit dinners! Makes me want to put a few on my itenerary! :cool1:

This happened to us twice when we went earlier this month. I mentioned it to the waitstaff and to the concierge and asked them to take the credits I owed, and everyone said there was nothing they could do, that "it's the computers" and to just enjoy the extra credits. Which we did. ;)

We spent $360 on the plan and our receipts totaled $887 and we had 4 snack credits unused ($10 if we would have gotten 4 ice creams).

I went to Coral Reef with my family two weeks ago. They also charged us only one credit for our two credit meal. It was our first day and I didn't do the math when I received our receipt with the number of table service credits remaining. I realized the mistake a few days later.

If I would have known better at the time, I would have said something. I don't feel so bad now that I know this has been happening to others.

I have already made ADRs to include the number of TS meals I'll be eating. Since two of my meals are 2 credit meals, should I go ahead and make more ADRs just in case I'm only charged 1 credit? I'm just thinking that I don't want to waste and TS credits. Thanks! Also, I don't need ADRs for anything other than TS do I? :confused3

When we realized that we would have one extra TS on our hands, we went to the AKL concierge desk and ask for a Boma ADR for breakfast on our last day. We got it with no problems. I suspect that you could do something similar as long as you are not asking for a very popular restaurant.

For anyone having remaining CS credits I would recommend going to your resorts CS and getting some to-go meals. We used our remaining 4 CS credits to get bottled drinks, uncrustables pb&j sandwiches and mickey rice krispy treats for the flight home. We ate the sandwiches on the plane (along with the drinks) and snacked on the rice krispy treats at home.

Sounds like you had a great time eating and really lucked out with your credits!

We  the dining plan! It certainly has convinced us to stay on-site during future trips!

We did the same thing with our remaining counter services. We had 4 left, we got two sandwhiches each, two cokes, two desserts, two bags of chips for each of us. We ate one sandwhich while at the airport and one as the flight was nearing an end and it was a wonderful way to use up those credits!
