We just got back from the Eastern Caribbean Fantasy cruise and I will be happy to answer any questions. It was our 4th DCL cruise and we had a lovely time. Weather and sailing conditions were ideal.

What was your dining rotation? and what itinerary did you have?

We visited St. Martin, St. Thomas, and of course Castaway Cay.

I leave for the same cruise this Saturday. What were night time temps (wind chill, etc) like out on deck while at sea? I guess what I am asking is should the wife pack some hoodies for herself and the little one?

Our weather was perfect. However, at night while on the top deck it can be a bit cool. It depends on what you consider cool. We didn't have any rain; however, we each had a lightweight rain jacket.

Enjoy your cruise!

I'm also on the cruise starting on Saturday. First cruise, currently in panic mode, trying to mellow out! Can't even think of a decent question to ask right now!

I found my key to the world card and here is my dinning rotation: ERAERAE

We also had Palo brunch on our last sea day and my wife and I really enjoyed that. They did have servers assist you with your food if you wanted it. I found it helpful with dessert and I had a server help me with the caviar.

Did you do any excursions? If so, which ones? I'll be doing this same cruise in December. I can't wait!

Other than a teenage excursion at CC that my son did, we did stuff on our own. At St. Martin, we took a taxi to the French side to Orient Bay beach. At St. Thomas we took a taxi to Magens Bay beach. We all loved St. Thomas and Magens Bay. Magens Bay is probably one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. We liked the beach and the "beach club" at Orient Bay, but St. Martin is a bit run down and not as scenic as St. Thomas. However, Orient Bay is huge and is very active and has something for everyone.

I was on this cruise too!!! The weather was amazing! Formal night was night 2.

When in St. Thomas, is it easy to travel over to St. John?
IMHO, I didn't think we were in port long enough to make a trip to St. John worth it. I will defer to someone else on travel to St. John. I hear St. John is amazing, but we were very impressed with Magens Bay on St. Thomas.

Someone mentioned you stayed docked in St. Maarten (pirate night) really late and fireworks were moved to another night. Said something about routine maintenance?

Yes maintenance went longer than expected is what they announced. It was after midnight when we finally left. I was actually thankful the fireworks were moved because it was earlier so my kids were still awake! Original time was 10:30 and the new time was 8:00!
