Just back from 3/21 Wonder

I loved reading about your trip! We will be going on the same trip on 05/02/10 and this will be our first cruise. We are taking our 3yr old GD. These posts really help so you can make some good decisions on your 1st cruise. I would like to know if people dress more up or casual in the evening for dinner and shows? Also I'm not sure what to expect in regards to weather if we will need sweaters or it will be plenty warm? Anybody have any idea?

Thanks again for posting! Sounds like you would have a great time no matter what! Good attitude!

If you loved the 4-day you would definitely love a 7-day!! One of the things I liked is one night they had a movie in the Walt theater instead of a show so you were able to use this time to spend on deck if you wanted. They also usually offer a type of comedy for one night (both family and adult versions - although the adult version isn't that much racier than the family version). you usually have two sea days - they're my favorites. More opportunity for martini/tequila/wine/beer tasting type events.

Additionally, the 7-day I took was a double dip (two stops at CC) which was awesome!!!

Regardless, any time on DCL is worth it.

Much to my DH's disappointment, I do not dress up. Not in my real life, and most definitely not on vacation. The nicest outfit I wore was a pair of linen capris, a nice blouse, and nice sandals. For me, that's like going to a formal ball!! DH wore a pair of khakis and a golf-type shirt. We weren't the best dressed, but certainly not the worst. My advice is just be comfortable and reasonable, and you'll be fine. We needed jackets at night and earlier in the morning, but you have 2 months to hopefully warm up!

Random question...what movies were they showing on board? We're going on the 4/11 cruise and crossing our fingers they will be showing Alice In Wonderland lol!

I was on this cruise too. They were showing Alice in 3-d, g-force in 3d, Old Dogs, Princess and the Frog, when in Rome and on Ariel vision, a lot of animated flicks including the original Alice, Wall-e, Cars, Pinnochio, etc.

Since they showed Alice in 3-D nearly everyday, I bet it's on your cruise too.
