Just Back (First Timer)

Very humid and it rained every day but by the time we put our ponchos on it stopped. Most of the week was cloudy and we have no sun tans to show for our week in Florida. The parks were very crowded and the candy lady in Epcot was on vacation in Japan so we didn't see her. My 11 year old did all the thrill rides except Mission Space and loved them while I just tried out Test Track and held on for dear life. We stayed at POR and would stay there again - beautiful property. Cindy's breakfast was worth every penny even though the food was mediocre at best. Same thing with Chef Mickey's but again, you go to these places for the characters than for the food so in that respect it was worth it. Boma's was the best meal and we also did the Rose & Crown because we thought that was the place to see Illuminations. If I had to do it over, I would spend my time walking around the World Showcase because where we were sitting, it was hard to see. Wishes & Spectromagic were unbelievable as all the nighttime shows and we saw Tinkerbelle start the fireworks too. I hated carrying around my heavy camera, and ponchos, etc. every day. Mickey's Philharmonic, Peter Pan and Pirates were my favorite. The longest wait without FP was 40 minutes and those were for the thrill rides. Can't wait to go back and thank's for everyone's tips from here. They helped so much.

Sounds like you had a great time! I bet you made lots of family memories.

We were there 2 weeks ago and saw Spectromagic, Wishes and Mickey's Philharmagic for the first time.

Philharmagic was really, really neat. I loved it! Wishes brought tears to my eyes.

Glad you had a great time. I stayed at POR my first time too. What building did you stay in and would you recommend it?

We stayed in building 85 and I definitely would recommend it.
